The CIEM Review

I choose BTECH in CSE as i loved computer science so opted for that course . I cant give the exact details about the faculty:student ration but i think its around 10:64 Qualification of the faculties depends as there are some who have done Phd and some who have done only bachelors so it alters and their teaching method also differs peer to peer there are all total 8 semester in the course and each semester have 3 internals each of its difficulties are around average

I dont have much data and experience you can say regarding the internships offerings in my college as i dont have the detailed information and datasheets and also i dont have the information of project and outcomes as i am just in my 3rd semester

After 4th semester students can sit for placement examination but for campus placements its around after 6th sem I am not aware of the placement data as it was not enclosed and i didnt get it according to my knowledge highest package was around 10lpa (i am not sure) and average somewhere around 3lpa(i am not sure) percentage of placement is around 60%(i am also not sure about this info) my plans will be sitting for offcampus placements after the degree

The fees hike policy is so allegdly going here as fees are decreasing day by day i got admitted in the course at 3.5 lakhs full course fees but now its increased to 4.10 lakhs full course fees but after this fees structure also my college is one of the most affordable college i think for btech in kolkata. I could not name any scholarships as i do not avail any of them i dont have much knowledge and also no financial assistance and talking about jobs and internships i am just in my second year of study so till now i didnt receive bot of it

There is only one grand fest happen every year around january and february which includes sports , tech and cultural everything naming CELSIUS , fest of Ciem . Yes there is a library availability of books and journals i would say availability is average The classrooms are also average with wooden benches with capacity of 4 people and white board but no AC Cricket , football , carrom and chess happen there in campus and people also participate and practice for dance and fashion shows No as such social groups are their according to my knowledge . there exist a dance club and a fashion show club.

The admission process was quite challenging and hectic . we have to sit for the WBJEE join entrance examination whose application process is so lengthy from filling a very large form to paying exam fees . my college cutoff was around 56k for CSE . eligibility was scoring atleast 60% in 12th boards and the rank cutoff. The application form can be found at the WBJEE official website , i forgot the application fees. There is no reservation benefits available for my college as it's a private college but for the whole WBJEE its available for SC , ST , OBC and etc . A very clear improvement according to me that i want to see is in the document verification process as if we get any college in the first round of counselling , we have to travel to that college no matter how far it is as for example i am in kolkata if JGEC come in first round i have to go jalpaiguri for document verification no matter of what i am electing or not , also if i dont elect that college i have to go for upgrade .
