I choosed this course because I had a previous passion and keen to gain knowledge about how apps and websites are built. The faculty student ratio is 1:22. The qualification of the faculties are really good. Faculties are well trained and they graduated and completed their Phd from prestigious colleges around the world. The term of exam is semester based and there are two mid semester unit tests. The unit tests are mostly followed by our class works, so you can easily get good marks. But semester questions might differ from the class works sometime . So we need to gain in depth knowledge about that perticular subjects.

There are also internship opportunities given by Internshala . They gives our selected students placements in different companies like Wipro, TCS, Accenture, HIGHRADIOUS, ACP labs , AWS etc. They gives the students the opportunity to work on ongoing projects like in web development, cloud based projects and Campus ambassadors as well.

There are placement opportunities in this college . Many companies visit for campus placement like Wipro,TCS , Accenture, HIGHRADIOUS and many more on regular basis . The students can get placements from those companies. The placement possibility is much high in CSE, IT, ECE branches . But the other branches may get placement little bit lower like 70-80%. From 6 th semester students are eligible for sit for placement examinations. Overall students get placements is 95% . My plans after getting the degree is to move to the job location .

I am a 2nd year B.Tech IT student in GNIT. The fee structure of this course in Gurunanak Institute of technology is 471000 on 2022 BTech in Information Technology. There are basically some scholarships for the department toppers and college toppers as well. There are also financial assistance for them who gets an achievement in JIS Samman . The name of the scholarship is JIS Kriti Award and JIS SAMMAN .

In Gurunanak Institute Of Technology, there is a cultural annual fest and a technical annual fest.The cultural fest of Gurunanak Institute Of Technology is Called Emphonious X Zyzzva . The Tech fest of GNIT is called Tesseract. The required books and journals according to course curriculum and beyond courses are available in the library . There are well maintained classrooms in my college. There are 24×7 cctv facilities, projectors in every classroom. There are also microphones and speakers in the classroom as well. You can explore every sports in this campus like running, vollyball, busket ball, cricket , football etc . There are many clubs like Robotics club , Coding club, GDSC club , Web Development Club, Cyber Security club , Dramatic society in this college for exploring.

There are 24×7 watecooler facilities for warm and cold water, cctv facilities, 24×7 warden has watch in every activities occuring in hostel. Every room has 3-4 beds . Every student has a seperate almirah and a table. The meal quality is sometime good and according to the occasions. We can apply for hostel from accounts centre according to the hostel vacancy . The hostel charges 36000/-for a semester before the semester starts. I think this should be in monthly basis because it may sometime get hard to pay 36000 on one time . But there are many PGs around the college available, where you can rent a room or accomodate.

I took my entrance exam WBJEE to get into this college and course itself. To apply for WBJEE examination, we have to go to WBJEE official website. The application feesof the examination is 500/- .The application process starts around February. The cut off for getting Information Technology in Guru Nanak Institute Of Technology was arround 27k on 1st round councelling and 45k on 2nd round councelling process. I got rank 32500 on WBJEE exam , So I got Admission on 2nd Round of the councelling process. You can opt for reservation quota also like ST, SC , OBC, TFWs . There are no reservation quota for General Catagory and EWS till now. I want to be this admission process much smoother and seemless because it is sometime difficult to find out exact cutoff of respective rounds and branches for a perticular college.
