I am enrolled in bachelor of commerce bcom(hons) . Our college has the best faculty for the commerce field. I wanted to purse my career in finance . The student to faculty ratio is 50:1 which is adequate as per me. Exams are conducted every semester with the interval of 6 months

Class Size: 850Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Placement Experience

SRCC is know for its record breaking placement. Companies like McKinsey, barclays , BCG, Bain and co, Big fours firms etc come for placements. Highest package was 45 lacs from blackstone and average package was 10 lacs. I am planning to prepare for UPSC after the college

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is for the entire year which is for 2 semesters. The fees for each semester is 30000 for general students in bcom hons course. There are scholarship and financial assistance provided by the college and private companies like Reliance, TATA, EY etc.There are internship opportunities as well available on campus

Campus Life

Life at campus is mixed with different phases. We have the best fest in Du the crossroads and various other fests are also conducted by societies and cells . There are books available from every discipline in the two floored library. Classroom are equipped with ac and heaters. We have sports committee at the college undertaking sports competition and meets. Famous clubs like enactus cdf cry are operated in college

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is available for 2 semester which costs 58000 and mess charges excluded which are 5000 per month. Mess food is of good quality and subsidised. Admission in hostel is purely merit based and hostel admission form has to be filled for getting your name in the merit. PG and flat facility are available near college in kamla nagar patel chest and vijay nagar

Admission

I got admission via considering marks board examination. The eligibility for our course was mathematics. But for considering the percentage in cutoff the best four including english was mandatory. The application form is available on the website of delhi university. Mine was the last batch which got admitted with board marks but the new batch 2022 onwards have to give CUET. This is the improvement which gives equal chance to every candidate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very interesting & it teaches you a lot about the entrepreneurship. Specially in the field of commerce it gives you the right information and exposure to the real world. Subjects like Corporate law , business law , Cost accounting and etc teaches you a lot about practicality.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say that SEC and VAC, were added by the university to enhance students mind, but these subjects feel more like burden to the students. And also the theoretical and numerics being taught, are not relevant to todays world, as curiculum in the books is not upto date, The assignments pressure.. and sometimes the fear of getting low marks.

MLNCE - Average but Enjoyable

Placement Experience:

The placement in Motilal Nehru College (Evening) is decent and is led mainly by the Placement Cell. Though inactive earlier, the placement cell has become significantly more active recently, bringing in more internship and job opportunities. Students become eligible for placements during 3rd year. In a good placement season, companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY come for Audit, Taxation, Risk Advisory, HR jobs. Other companies like DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Capital IQ also come during job fairs. Earlier, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart have also recruited from the college mainly for Sales, Business Development, Operations jobs. Highest on-campus package is ?18.7 LPA and rhe average package is ?3.6-4.5 LPA. Approximately 40% to 50% of students who participate in the process secure placements. My plan is to get into freelancing after college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In regard to the relevancy of the course Im quite fond of the subjects such as BL CA AND HRM they give us the better insights for both practical and theoritical knowledge making us ready for the "real" world . As For the improvement i feel like there should be some flexibility in GE so that students can choose a sub as per their choice as Hindi is fixed for me which isnt quite suitable for my course and it just drags my CGP down. The frequency if the exam is okay but the timing I feel like its way too fast just after first sem exam we had classes and all test and felt like it went on a spur

An Unfiltered View of SRCC

Placement Experience:

Placement in SRCC is very amazing, and way beyond the placements of DU colleges. A lot of big big names in Finance, and consulting domain, recruit from campus including McKinsey & Co., Bain & Company, Kearney, Big 4s and all. Highest package is 35+ LPA and Average Package is 10 LPA. I HAVE PLANNED TO complete my ACCA along with a little work experience.

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

SRCC- Asia's Best college experience

So basically i had applied to almost all other colleges in DU, for example Hindu, Miranda, LSR etc. Even non DU colleges, for example St. Xaviers. I got in all of them. However SRCC being my first preferance finally became my destination. I chose it mainly because of the Brand value it has. Same reason that people choose IITs. I didnt really get a rejection from anywhere. Just IIM under IPMAT, and that was because i didnt study too well for the entrance. For the admission in this college, u need to clear an examination called CUET. Thats the only exam. Cut off for B.Com hon goes the highest in SRCC itself, being the most demanded college.
