Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course because i had interest in the field of commerce and i was also getting admission in one of the top colleges in india. in a section we have around 50 students and 7 teachers so it has a good faculty student ratio. The faculty is highly qualified includin many PHDs and scholars. the teaching method is not adequate and most of the times syllabus is left to be covered. There are two term exams at the end of each semester in an year. These are really easy to pass with some preparation and one can score very good if he studies regularly and is attentive in class

Internships Opportunities

2

it is harder to land an on campus internship in my college than land an on campus placement as not a lot of intership oppurtunities are there. The internship cycle is for students of the 3rd semester. HUL offers the best marketing internship of 2 lakhs per month for 2 months. E&Y, delloite, KPMG, RAAM group etc offer internship as well

Placement Experience

3.5

Students of my college become eligible for placements after the 5th semester in my college. Big firms like Delloite, E&Y, McKenzie etc. offer placements in my college and around 200 students get placed every year out of around 800. Highest package of last year was 40 lpa offered my Hindustan Uniliver for a marketing job profile. The average package is around 9 lpa which seems a lot from outside the college but most students get around 5 lpa. Around 25% students get placed every year. I would like to further pursue the professional course of chartered accountancy after my undergrad degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

the fees is 30k per year and there are many scholarships to apply for both private and government. the college organises interviews for the applicants of these scholarships itself. Adequate financial assistance is provided by these given scholarships. on campus Internships also offer attractive stipends but only a few students are able to grab these internships

Campus Life

4.5

the annual fest of our college is CROSSROADS but it has not been organised since 2019. The library has abundant availability of books. the classrooms are air conditioned and also have projectors. Our college has a great focus on sports and we have teams for football, kho-kho and even baseball. There are a number of social groups like dramatics club, debating club, Enactus (social entrepreneurship), economics club etc.

Hostel Facilities

2

the hostel facility of our college is pretty basic. the rooms and the restroom facility are hardly adequate. the meal quality is really poor and worse than most outside PGs. Soon after the admissions, hostel forms are released and have to filled and submitged online to the hostel warden. The hostel accomodation is affordable with a fee of around 120000 per year including all expenses.

Admission

The Eligibility for getting admission into my course is giving the CUET exam for 1 language and 3 domain specific subjects out of which one should be Accounts or Mathematics. This particular exam has been of very low level of difficulty since the past 2 years. A student appearing for +2 level examination can apply for this exam on cuet.samarth.ac.in. The cutoff for my college+course combination was 780.5/800. Improvements i'd like to see would include betterment of the exam centres and improved system for conducting these exams on time

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

Placement Experience:

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
