Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My course is to serve the country to be a doctor provide better health care services to the country. The faculty student ratio is very low.it can be improved.we are 250 students. Teacher are very qualified done post graduate all of them. Term exams are every 2 months and properly arranged. But it is quite difficult to pass however they changed the passing percentage to 40 percentage.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internship is internal in the hospital owned by the college.one and half year we want to work in the college hospital itself and then we can get 33k for every month. We can do projects and research by the community medicine department and etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is 30000 it's quite fare according to me for a year. Every year there is scholarship opportunities for students according to their status and income. Many students study on fee concession. And free mess

Campus Life

4

Intermedicos and interzone and North zone arts sports atharva etc are held through out the year Library is fully ac and is filled with all books and digital form of books. Election are held and student college union is of great help for us.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel however lacks out of all the other things. No proper arrangements of living no proper cleaning and food mess food is very bad . And it uneatable. 6 students stay in a room and no privacy for studying.

Admission

I took the neet exam in 2021 According to marks and category. You will fill out the colleges of ur choice and will be appointed according to rank and seat availability. U can get application forms online from the MNC website. Yeah less duration between two consecutive counselling and easier counseling methods.

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is a bit tough rather than other courses (professional courses) MBBS is a 4 year course with 1 year compulsory internship dealing with a total of 13-4 subject over the 4 years The curriculum prepares us for the real world experiecne but more often the clinical subjects aim in patuent student interaction that overall help in the achievemnt of professionalism The frequency if exams are very high as there needs to be regular revision of subjects in order to prepare for the finals and perfect in all clinical theory and oractical aspects

Kerala University of Health Sciences - [KUHS], Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
Reviewed on Nov 30, 2024(Enrolled 2021)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is of high relevance as it ensures that the student learns everything he need to learn in an mbbs life to become a good doctor. The curriculum we are now following is decided by the National Medical Council (NMC) of India and is CBME curriculum. The curriculum include many Self directed learning methods and small group discussions etc which makes the learning interesting and easy. The curriculum definitely prepares the students to become a good doctor in future. Some minute improvements are still required like no need of these many SGDs for community medicine and forensic. It'll be better to include more field activities in community medicine . The frequency and timing of exams are sometimes a burden for the students as the exams are so close and they are not getting enough time to improve themselves which may affect their confidence. Sometimes the exams are scheduled in between some meets conducted by university which makes it difficult for the students to participate.
