What Students Say
Likes
- Campus is large, beautiful with greenery
- Scope for extracurricular activities like sports
- Large patient exposure in wards like medicine
Dislikes
- Large strength of students, decreases interpersonal relations
- Government colleges have a bit too much freedom
- Student faculty ratio is low, some faculties barely care to teach
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course in order to help the society. The teacher faculty ratio is a bit bad due to the high density of 250 students, but as all courses go, self study is the best way. The internal exams are moderate, with some departments being tougher than the others on meeting the eligibilty criteria of 50% marks in order to write the university exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for MBBS is 27000 rupees per month, with an initial hostel fee of 18,000 in first year followed by a payment of 7200 from the 2nd year onwards. Mess bill per months amounts to about 3000.
Campus Life
Annually, interbatch is conducted. There is a lot of scope to improve in sports and extracurricular activities as they are highly encourgared, though it may be a bit difficult to juggle them between academics. A number of clubs ranging from Literary, Dance, Arts to Charity are present.
Admission
Admission is via NEET exam. You should have a rank of atleast 2500 AIR or around 280-300 state rank to get in. More details are available on the official site. Application dates will be as per the schedule released by NMC for AIQ and KEAM for state quota.
