Likes

It's a ragging free campus and there is also an active anti-ragging society.
Some teachers are really very empathetic and understanding.
The placement cell of the college is very cooperative and improving day by day

Dislikes

After the COVID period the college is very irregular about Fest and Freshers.
I think the attendance system is also very strict.
The college wifi is very slow and it lags time to time.

Course Curriculum Overview

Talking about the course curriculum it is little primitive (according to MAKAUT) but college is trying to initialise it's very own curriculum and has Value added course to meet the modern necessity. And faculties are very understanding and supportive. They take timely class tests to examine our knowledge.

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Internships Opportunities

They recuit some companies which provide us the internship opportunities before joining to the company. There are TCS, Infosis, Wipro, Byjus and many more. There are also projects in 4 th year, where faculties guide you and also 2 projects should have to be done by every student.

Placement Experience

Placements of our college is good. This year the highest package has gone upto 24.5 lakhs. So the placement is quite good. Some opt for the placements and some opt for the higher educational opportunities like M. Tech and MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Semester wise the fee is around 45000 to 50000. In 4 years we have to pay 420000 in total. You can apply for the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship or Oasis scholarship. They recruit some good companies like Wipro, byjus, infosis, TCS and others.

Campus Life

Yes , there are fests and freshers arranged in college. But unluckily our batch didn't got any of these. There are clubs and coordinators. Always something internal quizes and competitions are held. There is also a gym and a basketball and football ground.

Admission

I took admission through wbjee. Or u can also admit here by your JEE ranks.You have sit for the counselling process of the EBJEE or Apply though the official portal of AEC. Cutoff for EBJEE is mainly upto 25000 rank.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

placement is very good in this college many tech giants vist the campus such as google microsoft delloite apple tata steels, thhe average package is about 16 lpa highest is 80lpa approx 148 companes visted this year and total offer for cse is 157 out of 190
