Likes

There is a Good interaction with seniors.
A good amount of skill improvement trips or study trips
Some faculty are just like a friends of yours.

Dislikes

To much politics in between students as well as faculties
Department pressure to do a lot of work in a short notice
Many of the faculty behaviour which are not preferable to say

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course as for the purpose of learning and personal skill development, and specifically job searching. Faculty and students ratio is about 1:70. Faculty are qualified many are form prestigious IITs, and the teaching methods are also good. Terms exam are every 5 months and are quite difficult.

From 7th sem onwards students become eligible for campus placement. Mainly mass recruiters give larger numbers of offers, tcs ninja Highest 29lpa role SDE company nutanix Average 3.5lpa company TCS ninja For 2019-2023 batch it was 90% For 2024 batch it's still not over 25% Getting a job first.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure: in 4 years we have to pay around 4lakhs 14000 for the tution fees excluding hostels exam fees. At the time of addmission 75k is paid and 7k extra for uniforms and bags which are compulsory. The fees hike policy depends upon the college for the freshers batch.

Campus Life

Annual fest, leganza is conducted in the month of may with the technical fest. Club activities are there also IEEE, IEI, hardware club Which conducts there own technical and hardware event. Library not so good. Sports and extracurricular activities are there but you have to participate earlier not after the notice comes. Gdsc is the website

Admission

In west bengal to take addmission in bachelors of technology (B.tech) degree, there is a exam conducted named as wbjee. There is no such eligibility criteria for the exam only you should be a pcm student in your 10+2 studies and passed your 12th exams.the application form is available at the wbjee web site. The cutoff varies year to year for every colleges. No such specific cutoff is there.only some specific college are good.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

Placement Experience:

The senario of placement in all of the private colleges of West Bengal are more or less the same. Majority of the students are placed in Service Based Companies like TCS, Wirpo, Infosys, HCL, Accenture, Cognizent, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, etc. These companies offer anywhere from 3.6 to 6 lpa packages. Only a handful of Product based companies come in these private colleges and cherry pick 2-3 student per college only. This is the reality of all the private colleges, not just our college. If you want to crack a high paying job, you will have to do it off campus. The students are eligible for internships from the 6th semester itself. The college does try to provide internship to students but only a few students end up getting the internships and most students need to find internships on their own. Some companies which came in 24-25 session which offered an internship and PPO are Amazon, SAP Labs, Accenture, etc. For a detailed placement stat, go to our college's website and look for training and placement stats. The college is honest in putting these stats. The stats are mostly reliable. The highest off campus placement in 24-25 session was by Snehadeep De, who secured a SDE role in Amazon with 47 lpa CTC. This was off campus so the college had no role to play here. The highest on campus placement was by two students in the company Juspay. They were offered the SDE role for 27 lpa CTC. The average placement of all the CS branches will be around 5-6 lpa. And approximately around 60-65% of the students get placed. This is the ground reality. And its the same in all of the WB private colleges. If you want to keep a backup option in case you don't want to get a 3.6 lpa job then start preparing for GATE, CAT or Civil Services from your second year. Its always preferred to have a backup option cause you can't trust a private college for providing you jobs.

Placement Experience:

The minimum placement opportunities of our college is good . If you are in good in aptitude, Group discussions and your CV and technical skills are strong then you can easily crack a 7-10lpa job from our college. Overall our college provides decent opportunities for our placements but you need to maintain certain GPA to sit on those placements

TAKE A LOOK TO GCECT

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester we are eligible for the internship, also we can apply for both on campus and off campus placements. In our college some companies like Geotech, Infosys, Code Clouds, Unibit solutions visit every year. Average package is in the range of 3.5-5 Lakhs per annum and highest package is nearly 6-7Lpa. But post covid time our placement record decreased a bit. Nearly about 80-85% of CSE students get placed every year. Also I am currently appearing in interview of different companies for placement.

Walkthrough my journey Of AEC

I chose AEC due to better infrastructure and the nearity of Institute from my home. I got offers from many colleges in west bengal but due to high fees and remoteness from my home i did not opt for those Institute. To be eligible you must have more than 60 percent in your secondary as well as in senior secondary examination.
