Likes

The way they provide opportunities and privileges
Peaceful nature near the campus is so good and enthusiasts us everything
Placements are some what better than the iit Palakkad

Dislikes

Mess food quality is different for different mess and we face difficulty in raising issues
Ragging by seniors is too harsh but then also we could complain about this to anyone
Some of the faculty doesn't make us understanding the concept and they directly way us to do solve problems

I chose this course with great interest in Electrical and Electronics course But my rank didn't allowed me to get into ELECTRICAL AND COMMUNICATION course then I got seat ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING course The student ratio is quite good here 173 students of EEE the qualification of Faculty members is good and all are the PhD scholars they teaches well but some course We face difficulty in understanding some of the faculty leave us completely not satisfied with Faculty of some courses There will many test and the main tests are MID SEMESTER 1 and 2 and then We have END SEMESTER and also it includes many class tests EVERY SEMESTER

Placements are not that good due to recession Mostly 60% students are placed every year but it also depends on branch Personally in my branch we have average package of 700000 every time very big companies visit Goldman Sachs amazon Google tata

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is given per semester for every academic SEMESTER We have 125000 for academic and 33000 for hostel fees We have 8 seesters in my 4 year btech The opportunity for scholarships are only to the minority caste people I personally didn't get any scholarship

Life at campus good and peaceful We have a freedom to achieve anything We need If we are interested in participate in any games and sports We can participate and do our best We do we have RAGAM and TATVA fests for every academic year We have clubs like NDC ( THE RAW PROJECT) ,MC (music club) there is huge library we have access to every book

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is not bad They provide bed and study table for each person in the room In first year every room is alloted to 4 members of different branches and my affordability is low The mess is too congested and the quality of food is poor for our mess we need to register into nitc hostels app for eery month to eat food

Hostel Fee: INR 66000 per year

Admission

I gave my JEE MAIN exam in 2023 January and April I Got 97% percentile in jee main and I also Gave JEE ADVANCE in June I got qualified in jee advanced Then I got josaa seat allotment to NIT Calicut in BTECH ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING course

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
