Remarks

Being a girls hostel, no boys are allowed inside the campus. They are not allowed even on fests or certain events. My college has a ragging-free environment and the juniors and seniors share a good rapport among each other. Many workshops are also organized throughout the year and the management is pretty good. Although, the college infrastructure has to be taken care of. Otherwise, my college is pretty good like other colleges in DU.

Entrance Preview

Being a Delhi University college, there is no provision for entrance exams. Admission is based purely on the marks scored in 12th board exams. If you clear the cut-off list provided by the college, you are eligible to take admission in this college. No interview process is followed. I always wanted to study in this college looking at the reputation and placement guarantee.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

My course BSc. Life Sciences is appropriately designed according to the current scenario around us. I can easily relate to the course and apply my knowledge practically. The teachers focus on practical learning and hence our lectures are so interactive. Many innovative projects are running under the guidance of our professors. I love being a part of all these projects and gain knowledge from them.

Internships Opportunities

No college in DU provides internship to their students. All the students have to find internships on their own. It is students' personal choice if he or she wants to do the internship or not. Internship basically provides a rough idea as to how the real work is done in these big companies. It is a test for us to put our knowledge in real practice and analyse how we'll be working in the coming time. I have as such not done any internships but I regularly offer services to many NGOs and work for them as an active volunteer.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements happen around the last semester of graduation. There is a central cell which includes both in and off campus selections. I'll be sitting for placement interviews in my last semester therefore I've no knowledge about the current placement scenario. Though many big companies provide the students with job opportunities and most of the students grab heavy packages. All the DU students are known for their excellence and talent and thus easily get the opportunity to get placements from companies.

College Events

5

College celebrates technical and cultural fests that happen once every year. These fests are a full day affair where the events don't end even at late night. Many events like College fest, department fest etc happen and my college is always filled with crowd at that time. Although boys are not allowed in the campus still we girls are a bunch of party freaks and does not require anyone else. May be from this year boys will be allowed in the cultural fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees of my college is just 15000/- annually. This amount can be afforded by both middle class families and lower middle class families as well. Being a government college, the fees is minimal and scholarships are also provided to students. Even when the fees is less, my college has all the basic facilities that should be in a college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college does not provide any scholarship but the scholarships are provided by the university. The college does not play any role in scholarships. Since, I did not avail any scholarship till now, I have no idea about this process entirely. Availing for loans also depends on us, college does not plays any role.

Campus Life

4.5

There are a lot of societies like drama, dance, fashion etc. The girls here get a lot of chances to explore their hidden talent and bring it in front of the world. My college fests are a little average and even sports has a weaker link in our college.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel work is under construction. The plan for the hostel was passed last year, before that there was no hostel in the college and the students were living in PGs. The PGs are situated nearby the college area for the ease of students. Food is all depended upon us. Patel Nagar and Rajendra Palace are the nearby places that are filled with great restaurants and are great place to hangout but we usually make our own food at our PG.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni-meet is not held by the college but students can talk to the seniors regarding any information. I got a lot of information through the alumni as they know each and every detail of our college. Even the teachers and the ex-students share a good rapport among each other.

Exam Structure

Not all the time, but often I feel tired after stepping out from the labs. But exams have a chill culture. I have a total of 6 semesters in graduation. Per subject carry 100 marks and its categorized like 75 for theory based questions and remaining 25 depends upon the project + attendance.

Faculty

5

All the teachers have done PhD in their field of teaching and they have the great experience of teaching. All teachers are very interactive. The teaching staff is very supportive and try to help us through extra class/doubt class. I enjoy my lectures and try to attend as many as I can. Though, there are certain strict professors but others are quite chill and supportive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

The students become eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year of their graduation. Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.
