Life at AIIMS Bilaspur

Faculty here is really nice .Some of them love to teach ,you can see the passion in their eyes They actually care especially 1st year faculty members. Faculty student ratio is appropriate in my opinion,in general we have 3 assistant prof.,1 additional,1associate and 1 head of the department plus JRs,SRs. Faculty members are really qualified and are passed out from prestigious colleges which makes you feel respect for them even more. Term exams are conducted after 3-4 months and you really have to study ,they consume you but you'll pass if you study.They aren't difficult per se but the syllabus is vast which is quite a challenge.

Internship provides with stipend in the same college.It provides you with experience which is quite necessary if you want to be a good doctor. I am a second year student so I can't give much information on this topic.

Fees here is very less ,you only have to pay 5856 for the whole mbbs course which includes the hostel charges .Mess payment is different,it is collected monthly. Scholarships like NSPs are available to eligible people. Stipend in internship is provided.

Life is slow here ,it's a developing college in a non happening city.You are surrounded by nature and it's beauty,to me it's everything. Our annual fest is synechiae.It was conducted in November this year,it might change next year. Availability of books and journals is not good currently but it's being worked on and will be better hopefully. There are grounds for football, basketball, volleyball. There is a book club which is organised by students.

The weather is awesome here .You don't really need a AC.A room contains 2 beds,2 desks,2 wardrobes . Food is okayish.Menu is okay.It can be better. It is very affordable,hostel rent is 990 for the whole course which is included in the admission fees (excluding the security charges). Staying outside of campus is not allowed.

Qualifying NEET with good marks is required to get admission in this college.You have to apply by selecting the college during counselling which starts after the result declaration of NEET. There is no state quota applicable here,so you will find people from different states here.Cutoff is lesser for people in reservation categories.For general you have to score above 650-660. After being allotted this college,you have to reach there for the admission. You have to fill out some forms ,submit your original documents for a while along with copies of each.You also have to undergo a medical examination where basically your health checkup is done.After completion you'll be alloted your hostel room and you're good to go.
