Campus here is really beautiful. All facilities are present in campus only.
Close to main cities like Chandigarh and Shimla...approx 76 km from both
Peaceful environment with mesmerizing view of mountains

Dislikes

One may dislike the rules and regulations of this college about permissions for every thing
Amphithéâtre is not near hostels instead it is near OPD
In hostels there is not any attatched bathrooms.

Course Curriculum Overview

MBBS is no doubt tougher than normal degree courses. MBBS helps you to become a good doctor, especially from AIIMS . We are here taught theory as well as practical for our future practices. There are clinical postings for the students in 2nd year.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 1262 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship is of 10-12 months in different wards of hospital . For that we get 30,000 per month. There is no such placements system in any medical college. There is internal quota of 50% for post graduation in same institute.

Fees and Financial Aid

Per year fees is RS. 1262 and fees for whole degree is RS.5680 which EXCLUDES only mess fees which is RS. 3500 per month. Fees is same for all categories, and no additional charges for any category. There is NSE Portal for SC, ST, OBC, EWS Students for scholarship of RS.90000 per annum

Campus Life

Annual fest of our college is Synechae, which includes sports compitition, dance competition, band performance, monoact and mimicry, dj night and star night. Books for all 19 subjects in MBBS is avilable Smart classroom are there.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel fees is included in ?5680 for complete MBBS. Till 2nd year there are double sharing rooms and after that single rooms are provided. Hostel room is more than sufficient in size for 2 people and not less than hotel . View of sunset from my balcony is mesmerizing

Hostel Fee: INR 160 per year

Admission

Prior to this, I applied in AIIMS New Delhi, MAMC, VMMC, AIIMS Rishikesh. Reason for rejection is simply cutoff marks for these colleges. Admission process needs 3-4 rounds of counselling. Exam you have to prepare for is NEET UG. Cutoff for this college is All India rank under 3000 otu of 26 lakh students.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is 5:1 in this college due to less no. Of seats...100. Some of the proffers are really empathetic and tens to help the students as soon as possible. Dean, DDA,ED are not approachable easily Best faculty. Dr Prashant sood, Dr megha Gupta. Exams are not at all easy here. They are so prepared in order to fail students

Night Life

Hangout spots are Ayush block, shopping complex , central plaza, and helepad. Gym is in boys hostel which is free of cost to use. Cefe 24, open kitchen, kehloor cafe, Domino's, and MESS B are there for food Barista (5km), mikeys (11km), bakers and brews , hotspot, pizza story (12 km)

Its MBBS dude . Respected profession and lots of money. The curriculum is good very much emphasis on theoratical knowledge along with good amount of clinical hours for skill development. Improvements would be to lower the load on final prof. As too many subjects. Frequency of exams is 1 formative weekly and 3 terms at 3 months gap . One final examination yearly. They vary in difficulty.

One may choose the course of MBBS for various reasons, my being having a successful professional life which interests me. The perks of being a doctor are many , the primary being the ability to help the society at many levels with a good income and social status. Through MBBS one definitely learns a lot which prepares an individual for the harsh World we live in. Each viva,each scolding,each taunt and each exam surely feel bad at the moment but if the person is willing to rebuild on them they surely develop ones character. Coming to the academic part MBBS includes19 subjects. One can pursue any of the subjects in the future which requires you to qualify neet pg which would soon be replaced by NEXT exam. A thorough knowledge of the subjects is required to qualify the exam. It's known well that medical field is constantly evolved at a very rapid rate. However i personally feel that this college has lagged behind in catching up to it. Currently there is a need for better infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mbbs in itself is vast curriculum but it's interesting at the same time. We get to learn more about our body in first year through anatomy physiology and biochemistry. From second year onwards the preclinical subjects are more interesting one also the clinical postings make the cause much fun u got to see many patients and apply the bookish knowledge on the patients. INSIGHTFUL EVALUATION OF MAHARISHI MARKENDESHWAR MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL SOLAN

Course Curriculum Overview:

my cousins did their mbbs from this college and further my father's friends also refered this college. As i am doing mbbs therefore our college give us different scenario during our AETCOM ( attitude ethics and communication ) in which they ask us to perform a drama on the scenario and if we make any mistake during the performance they correct us and tell us what could have been the corect way. Our textbook also have different case studies on basic ethics. Our college conducts test every saturday for all the subjects that we have to appear in that year. Our college conducts 1st term , 2nd term and sent up examination. According to new NMC curriculum we are required to atleast score 50% in internal assessment. Then there are final examination after every year on the basis of which we are promoted to the next year.

My college aiims bilaspur has last year closing cut off as - General-2803 Obc-3799 ST-52297 Good aspects of aiims bilaspur acc.to me are 1)build in himachal so makes college life interesting 2) it is very clean and pollution and noise free 3)it's campus is very beautiful 4) good connectivity with big cities like chandigarh Disadvantages are 1) so many restrictions 2) new built therfore less clinical exposure 3) nothing else it is almost good For joining aiims bilaspur i participated in mcc counselling and joined some telegram channels for college information and choice filling etc ....Read More
