Course Curriculum Overview
In our dept. The intake capacity is 130.But due to high pressure the intake was increased and our faculties in our dept of ECE is very good with proper maintenance of classes and details theory and practical classes.Many are from IIT graduated and IISc Banglore passout . They helps us and not only studies but in every way. And there was a series of CA1, CA2,CA3,CA4 and PCA 1 and PCA 2 and there after final practical and university theory exams
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Whirlpool, LG, etc provide internships and posts they usually provide industrial visits and as per need * After getting an internship, we get a good stipend and certificate and get to work with well-trained workers and scientists Along with internships, the college also arranges FSP (FINISHING SCHOOL PROGRAMME) under which aptitude training sessions, technical round questions mock preparations, coding classes like Python, Java, etc are organized. Usually, FSP occurs and is arranged as per the student's need and more specifically during starting of every semester
Placement Experience
* From 5th semester students eligible for internship and placement * Company like virtusa, TCS, Wipro, byjus etc visited * Highest package is 37 lakhs and average is 8 lakhs * Almost 90 percentage of students placed * My plan is to clear Gate after btech
Fees and Financial Aid
Total cost os around 3.5 lakh for studies and hostel fees apart. But there are many scholarship opportunities and internship applicable . Even seats, and fees are lowered for JIS groups members children and for many states like tripura some seats are reserved
Campus Life
* Fest like annual college fest is conducted every year followed by JIS events including anchoring, debate, song, etc * Library contains many journals like electronics for u, India Today and many new journal with newer technology and with online gate, other exams books facilities * Classroom contains well furnished benches and many has digital boards and modern classroom and labs * Many sports like football, hockey, volleyball etc tournaments are conducted among college in among department and intercollege also * Many clubs like hardware Club, photography club, tech club, NSS unit etc are there and weekly and monthly events are conducted and felication done to motivate students for more active participation
Admission
I had given the west bengal joint entrance exam and opted a rank of 10,000 and got admitted to the college through general rank quota. One can get application through wbjee, jee mains or by paying extra fees i.e reserved seats. The admission process is quite tiredsome and a lengthy
