What Students Say

Likes

The atmosphere is good, infrastructure is good.
The festa are fun and enjoyable and entertaining.
We get to meet a lot of people of different backgrounds and experiences.

Dislikes

The class timings were sometimes very odd.
The food was bad at times and caused health problems
Some people though only a very few were unnecessarily rude

Course Curriculum Overview

Most faculty members are nice and cooperative. All of them are well educated and have phds from well renowned universities and institutions. All exams went as planned and were well executed. Some subjects were relatively hard.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are available from various companies like IBM, Google Amazon Microsoft. We can choose whichever we like and work and learn under them. We have projects in the third and fourth year onwards

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for internships and gradually placements from the 3rd semester onwards. A lot of great big companies recruit from here the highest package range from 55-75 lpa generally and an average of 30 lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

There are a lot of scholarships available to us from many places and organizations. It maybe suggested by the institution or from outside. Fee structure could use some modification in my opinion honestly.

Campus Life

The library is quite really definitely surely incredible. It has a lot of books and all of them are well maintained and arranged. The fests are great as much as I have heard. Sports and activities are given great importance. There are clubs like the dance club literary club etc

Hostel Facilities

Registration processes for the hostel went very well smoothly. The rooms are fine though a bit congested. Meal quality is alright though it could be better at times. I would say it is pretty affordable.

Hostel Fee: INR 66000 per year

Admission

I wrote the JEE entrance examinations the application went smoothly. Cutoff for my course, ie, EEE was around 21000 rank for general category. I applied through the josaa portal. I don't think any improvement is necessary as it was all very smooth and fast.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Average student experience at amrita

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
