Likes

Good Atmosphere with intelligent students.
Big Library and easily accessible with library card .
At a good location and easily accessible via bus.

Dislikes

It has very small campus in Salt lake Sector.
It has small canteen and veg and non vegetarian is served via same window.
It has 3 campus for different branches and this is little hectic.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose Chemical engineering Dept because it is very old( one of the oldest department of Calcutta University). It has good alumni network and placement cell. Here in University, there is less no. of students so you can easily get placed in Top MNC'S.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 8000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is very affordable here. You will get your B.Tech done in just 30000 ....less than your school fees. And in return you will get amazing placement here. West Bengal residing candidate get scholarship too through Govt.

Campus Life

Here in the Technology Campus of the University we have more than 7000 books in the library. You have three cards issued on your name and you can easily access more than one book at one time. It has various clubs also.

Admission

I was admitted in this college via WBJEE Exam. You can appear for WBJEE Exam just after your class 12th. This is a very good opportunity for students who are appearing for JEE as it can be their backup . Most important thing is that you can get top institution like Jadavpur University via this exam.

Reality of IIT KGP

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.
