Dislikes

There is a rule for the first year student you can't stay away the hostle after 11:00
There is no any night canteen so that we can bring some snaks during our exams night
Only one canteen in college no other food court

Course Curriculum Overview

I chosse the course by my own choice .ichiose that because I have intrest in that field faculty is too good and ratio is maintained and faculty is well qualified and they always give our best in teaching. In every semester there are two exams mid sem and end sem first one contain 30% and end sem contain 50%and another 20%is internal exams are well leveled. And not yo much tough to pass.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Placement Experience

From the seventh semester student get eligible for the placements ther are many companies come in college like bhel iocl etc last year highest package is 59 lac and the avg package is 12 lpa . Almost 90 % people got placed in last year. I'll opt for the placement after completing my degree

Fees and Financial Aid

Total cost to complete the btech is approx 9 to 10 lac fees is too much for the people belong to low financial background but there is a conssesion for those who have any category or those whose income is already less than 1 lac per annum. I am in first year and till now I didn't get any scholorship.

Campus Life

There are two anual fest first one is technical which is tathva and another is rragam which is a cultural fest and it is a south India's largest fest tathva will conduct in January bad ragam will be in May. All types of books are available in library Every sports have seperate court and have a good sport environment College have many clubs like montage for editing etc

Hostel Facilities

There is one cupboard one bed and one table for each student in a room meal quality is average menu is different for all days in week .for registration you have to pay hostle and mess fees through nitc app then they will provide you a room I rented a room of sharing of four people

Admission

You have to clear the jee mains exam and then appear for the jossa counselling and jossa will allot college to you as per your category criteria. After that you will get admission letter Then there will be a admission process. You to complete the admission process

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
