Likes

Teachers are helpful. The greenery is well maintained and makes the campus looks heavenly
The seniors are also very helping and coordinating.
Events and fests are fun to attend and take an experience.

Dislikes

The sports need to be improved a d induced more
The washrooms need to improve a lot . Not very satisfied.
There're no trip offers organised by the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

B .com ( hons). I chose this course because it is one of the best courses offered by DU. It also suits my commerce background and the further fields I want to be in. The teachers are quite qualified. The teaching methods are also good. Exams do happen as a part of continuous assessment, other than the main exams . The difficulty ranges from easy to moderate.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship offers are decent. It can be improved more. And need to be filtered . A couple of internships aren't good enough to apply for that just want you as a salesperson. Internships for 2nd year students should be induced more.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm at the Delhi University, so the fee is quite affordable for me ; belonging from a decent income earning group. No scholarships or financial aid availed yet. I don't think the fees should be hiked in the government universities because all strata of society attend them.

Campus Life

Many of the societies are quite active and sometimes so much so that it gets a bit difficult to keep up with them , but the experience is worth it. Fests and events keep happening quite often. Sports is a bit backward in my college.

Admission

The admission process is very tiring even though things are computerised now. As I was associated with a coaching institute, so I got timely updates of the forms. No reservation benefits availed . Yes, the proper implementation still lacks .

Yes our college provides placements to the student and the students who are in their final semester(6 semester) are eligible for the placement. The companies which comes to college are Kpmg, dillote, Ey, bain and company etc. The average package is around 9 lakh and the highest package is 36.5 lakh.

Students of 3rd semester become eligible for campus placements. Companies like pwc, EY, deloitte has visited our campus and offered packages according to the competency of student. 35-40% people do get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to move abroad and pursue ACCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is really relevant and comprehensive. For eg in bcom we study business law, company law, Human Resources management, marketing, financial and corporate accounting, finance, busines maths, stats, income tax, cost accounting, economics as ge so all these are really great well structureda and do have real life practical applications therefore i think my course is really very well aligned and comprehensive in terms of the business world.

Vivekananda College is a dream of every girl!

Hindi Hons are not offered by all DU colleges, as though my parents warned me for a girls college and top level girls colleges like the Gargi, LSR or KNC. Firstly admission in the college are done under cuet examination we have to give that first then we have to apply for different university website for our admissions .and cuet is the only exam all the student have to give for the admissions and cuet examination experience is good as it is our first cbt based exam held . Studying in a girl's college of DU feels like...
