Course Curriculum Overview

On the basis of my rank in jee mains I was abble to get ECE branch and that is the reason I took it. Each and every faculty use there time in the right way and give us guidlines about the course and outcomes. The ratio of faculty and students is 1: 20.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 48186 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Actually I belongs to shedule tribe so there is lots of opportunities to get scholarship and finantial assistance in the course. I payed 48148 something like that based on cast. And there is hostel changes that is 55000 for the first time and 33000 onward. I applied for scholarship though nsp on the basis of my cast and this could be helpful for my family over the course.

Campus Life

There are two largest fest held in the nitc such as tathva and ragam and these are held in November and March accordingly. There is central library in which we can get books as you need it and we can study there. There is a projector that is used during class lecture that give us more clarity to think about that respective subject. there are play group for each sports we can join and play.

Admission

Addmission is done by jee main based on the cutoff. There are lots of courses in the nit Calicut. And these are selected by according to rank list and it is based on cast rank for the takiing admission in the college

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
