Faculties are good... They are nice to us. Histel experiencees are poor and also little iver expensive. The food in hostel need to improve The teaching of faculty is acceotabe... But main strategy is self learning

Campus Life

Campus life is awesome. Lot of trees to provide cool and vibe climate. Lots of social and cultural programs. Everyweek minimum 1 technical workshop is done in the college. South indias largest cultural fest is happening in nit calicut

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility fir 1st year is poor... Mess is bad. It chabges eveey year. Fees is 30000 per semester. Hostel privide educational atmosphere. The wardens and caretakers are always present in the hostel

Admission

I did not have any reservation. So i needed a high score in jee mains to enter into this university. An average student required above 91percentile to get admission in any one of the nit. I git my admission through home state quota. Which is very beneficial for keralites. I attained 97.9%in jee mains... But only. Got admission in mechanical engineering. This year the cuttoff was little high... Therefore the standard and quality of students here is higher.

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Placement Experience:

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

My honest review of ICET

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
