- Place and Topography of college. Being located in Kerala I would say this is one of the most beautiful NIT in India
- Helpful and Top Notch faculties who are kind of strict but still they themselves give their best for students good
- Good Campus life with plenty of opportunities and lots of club for varied talents
Dislikes
- Academic burden is an issue here along with 80% attendance
- South Indian cuisine might not help the rest 50% of Non Malayalam Students Along with Language barrier and college being far from home for many students
- This college might not be suitable for some students who are not much indulged or interested in academics as the burden here is immense with strict course policies
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculties here are excellent and top notch with PhD in their respective field from top universities and college. Study curriculum is kind of strict but still is beneficial in favour as if opt here for higher studies or serious studies then I don't think so there is any better NIT than this one
Internships Opportunities
College is highly aligned toward overall application of academic concepts thought here this The department of Centre of Career Development has done their best in fields like providing better placement opportunities and making internship compulsory from 3rd year via college reference thus their is a really high chance that students might recieve a Pre Placement Offer in 3rd-4th year only.
Placement Experience
Excellent placement and internship facilities as the faculties here tried their best to provide the best stage for students, the Centre of Career Development is a department which works on the elevation of placements too. We recently saw a jump of average package of civil department from 7.5LPA to 8.75LPA in an year with a good median salary provided.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees varies from ur category to category. For a general student it is around 800000-900000 with a good 3rd party scholarship assistance referred via college. College itself too provides some kind of financial aids if u are a good student in academics here.
Campus Life
I don't really think I have to explain campus life here because here we have the SOUTH INDIA's biggest Cultural fest called Ragam and Tech Fest called Tathva along with many different events happening on daily basis.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are average only along with average food justified as per the fees they demand but it all melts down along to the pro that you are studying in a TOP NIT. Food here is typical South Indian cuisine along with North Indian options as well which is healthy and tasty getting multiple options to change mess and hostel rooms varied from accommodation of 4 to 2 to 1 in final year as well.
Admission
For getting into this college you have to give an exam called JEE MAIN and entering in this college requires a minimum of 96.5%ile for a general outside student along with 75% in class 12 Boards. Admission could be done via JoSAA and CSAB
