The furniture, classrooms were really polished
Atmosphere,vibe , attitude of faculty members
Vibrant fests, programs and activities every day

Dislikes

Mess food wasn't upto mark for first year
There are only four european closets per floor for first years
There is curfew for two whole semesters to prevent ragging

Chose this course since it has the highest package and was interested in computer science , data structure and algorithms Great faculty, girl to boy ratio in Cse-->1:5 Exams are quite tough, two exams mainly mid sem and end sem exams per semester

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 41666 per year

Internships Opportunities

Currently first year and has not received any internships, neither stipend nor any payment, but will recieve from second and third year onwards from major companies who are willing to offer paid internship.

Placement Experience

Eligibile for campus placement from 3rd year Computer students get to choose from wide range of companies average placement package being around 22lakh for 2023 and the High package of 44.5 lakhs. Almost 100% computer students get placed

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees sure increasing each year, combining hostel and tution fee would require around 6 lakhs to complete the entire course Will get lots of education loans for a student of NIT Calicut mainly SBI having the least interest if income between 1L and 5L

Campus Life

Fests are awesome... Mainly two annual fests Ragam and Tathva. Tathva being the tech fest and Ragam the biggest fest of South India..budget around 3 crores. Hitech classrooms with smartboards and good furniture

Admission

Admission through Jee mains Computer Science and Engineering , OBC, 98.7 percentile and above necessary for admission For EWS 98.6 and above is necessary for admission as per 2023 might increase next year

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
