Likes

Facilities and faculty are excellent in teaching
Library Facilities are amazing and all are upto mark
Also the classrooms with projector and all

Dislikes

Nothing else that I dislike here the campus is nice
But the hostel facilities should be still improved
Also the syllabus coverage is not fine and it's not being done in time

Course Curriculum Overview

Every semester will be held for 4 months and mid semester exams will be conducted after 2 months from the starting day...These will be according to the given syllabus and a marking scheme is allotted for correction

Internships Opportunities

Many companies are interested in our campus and around 300 companies visit our campus in an year and around 400 students are placed every year and this year 2023 we got higher placements in the electrical and electronics engineering

Placement Experience

Students can be placed after their 7th semester and highest package is 8.1cr till now and the average package is 10 lakh per annum.. Minimum percentage of students to get into companies is 70... atleast 7 cgpa is required for placement

Fees and Financial Aid

If we start studying from the first day itself then definitely will be getting a good package...fee structure and all are same as shown in the official website.. if we are of lower communities..then there will be many scholarships available

Yes fests are tathva and ragam and library is simply superb.. library consisting of many facilities and e-books are also available.. sports and many extracurricular activities are seen basketball cricket tennis volleyball shuttle and many others..Many clubs regarding many many activities like singing dancing Street play,Mime etc are also there

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are nice but the facilities in mess are not upto the mark ..Menu is ok and food is served according to menu... registration process and payment are all done in the nitc hostels app only

Admission process went on very smoothly...every detail of every course is available in the official website of nitc...i.e www.nitc.ac.in...If you are having any reservations then there will be a fee exemption as per the reservation

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
