Course Curriculum Overview

I like electrical engineering and I got in one of the best colleges I can get for my percentile.atpeast 1 faculty per 46 students.all of the faculty are atleast PhD scholars.the term exams where tough but the grading is relative therefore difficulty to varies from person to person

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 140000 per year

Placement Experience

There is a good placement opportunities in the campus. Qualcomm visited last year for placements . In EEE about 96 percent placement are there.i will probably go for placements after the course.higheat package is 50 lakhs .also cgpa doesn't account to much for placements

Fees and Financial Aid

Cost to study without any allowances is about 74500 per semester for institution fees and about 33k for hostels per semester. I didn't have any kind of scholarship.at the very time of admission there maybe changes in the fee as a extra of admission fee is included.About 10 lakhs will be spent in total

Campus Life

Campus Life is on another level.the library is huge and has a variety of choices in books . There is digital libraries and study rooms.our annual fest is named ragam and tech fest is named tathva one of the biggest fests in South india.there are various clubs and sports teams and hometeams

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility for boys first year is pretty upsetting o t the other hand it is good for girls . While from the second year way better hostels are available. Hostels can be considered moderately cheap.registration process is smooth.

Hostel Fee: INR 66000 per year

Admission

First of all you need atleast 75 percent in you 12th boards then you need to apply for jee mains where you need and good percentile to get admission.there are two attempts per year and a total of 6 attempts over 3 years.one faind all the details in josaa website or jeemains website . The reservation one possess plays and vital role therefore never forget to invoke them if you have any

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
