first of All i like the infrastructure,lovation of university,Atmosphere around university,discipline inside campus ,faculty is well qualified and so friendly,but in case of placement it needs to develop

Dislikes

i disliked one thing that there is not a bog ground for sports to play inside or ouside campus for tge students

I choose civil engineering because it was my dream to build high rise towers,buildings. Faculty members are highly experienced amd highly qualified,most of the faculty members are from IIT,s holding PHD in civil engineering Also they behave so calmly with students like they're friends Every major exam is held after 6 months and minor exams are held after 2 months ,exams are from moderate to tough level ,but the way of teaching from faculty members didn't make students feel that papers are so tough to pass.They find it easy to pass

Internships Opportunities

Internship are being done outside the state so tgat students get more exposure and let students to do more experiments on high rise buildings,one of the company ALTTC Ghaziabad where internship is done.

Fees and Financial Aid

I think fee is little high,30000 for a semester and 120000 for a year.Scholarships are only available for poor students whose income are less than teo lakh per year.Chances of campus jobs are so so less.some BPO jobs are provided which is nothing.students must get campus placements

In case of infrastructure it is very very good ,this university is located on a location which feels like paradise also but class rooms are not so modernised.smart classes should be added in this modern era.campus is overall best

Admission

Admission process was quite good.Admission was given on basis of JEE Mains points,branch was also given according to Mains exam points.Application form,fee and application dates were available on main website of iust.i think more faculty members in administrative office shuild be added for admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

Good things is that they offer minor courses for us where we can choose extra courses which we may find interesting and yaa not only that interdepartment projects can also be chosen which is very strange but don't seems relevant.curriculum earlier they were following of iit Delhi and new curriculum is not very exact and relevant because sometimes there are some unnecessary courses and no point of learning that course which forcefully imposed on us to take this course as it comes under institute department courses and are mandatory which is not so good

NIT srinagar : A place signifying Majesty of nature and a ground for academic growth

Placement Experience:

I think the students become eligible for placements after 6 th semester, if you are from CS / IT then you'll get enough opportunities for yourself... I know 8-9 seniors who have grabbed a pretty decent package from companies like Oracle If somehow you fail to get recruited on campus then i guess the off campus option is open for all I am pretty satisfied with the placement record atleast for IT The percentage placement for this year CSE was 51 considering recession part this seems good to me

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Review about Shri mata vaishni devi university

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

An Honest Review

. I applied for JEE josaa counselling apart from this college, .I got admitted in the NIT srinagar however my branch was Mechanical which i was not intrested in . The admission process of this university was quite easy and similar to the rest of of the colleges . I Visited their website, applied for the course, got admitted there in both of the courses i had applied for i.e B. Arch and B.Tech CSE. But I chose CSE as it was what i was more inclined towards. . IUST is not as bad as it seems.

I did not apply for any other colleges because I wanted to opt of a degree in Computer Science and IUST is basically the only university in Kashmir that offers the said course with quality.
