Placement Experience

Placement are not so good from the college... especially there are more placements for CSE ...the average salary in placement is about 200000-300000..the highest was about 400000 recently in 2022..so for placement I would say not so good

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure per semester is 31000i.e annually 62000 ...and the examination fees of 700 ruppes per semester...and bus fees 14500 per semester..the rate is fixed for all students and the hostel fees iss about 3000 ruppes including the message..

Campus Life

Campus Life Is vibrant and engaging,with a variety of clubs and events that foster community.the infrastructure is excellent, offering modern study spaces, recreational areas, and plenty of social activities

Admission

I didn't apply for any other college... I was clear to join this college as I had heard good reviews about this college... addmission process was quite simple the guideline came directly from the college so it was much easier

Faculty

The faculty members are highly knowledgeable, approachable and dedicated to students success.they create engaging, supportive learning environment that fosters intellectual growth and encourages critical thinking

Night Life

Don't know about the nightlife...but easily accessible gym is there..there are many restaurants and hangout places within the college..a 24/7 well maintained libarary is there from where we can easily access the books

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

My point of view on NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

An Honest Review

. I applied for JEE josaa counselling apart from this college, .I got admitted in the NIT srinagar however my branch was Mechanical which i was not intrested in . The admission process of this university was quite easy and similar to the rest of of the colleges . I Visited their website, applied for the course, got admitted there in both of the courses i had applied for i.e B. Arch and B.Tech CSE. But I chose CSE as it was what i was more inclined towards. . IUST is not as bad as it seems.

I did not apply for any other colleges because I wanted to opt of a degree in Computer Science and IUST is basically the only university in Kashmir that offers the said course with quality.
