Course Curriculum Overview

5

Computer science is an interesting course with a good job opportunity. The exams however are exhausting, not that difficult but exhausting. The question papers are prepared by the faculty itself and papers are checked by the faculty too.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am an open merit student, so i have to pay 74000 each year. The self finance and NRI students had to pay 2 lac and 5 lac in the beginning of the degree respectively. I don’t know much about the other categories.

Campus Life

2

. There are many fests held in the university like Spring fests, business fests, foundation day fests and all . The library is quite good and you can get almost every book there. . There are projectors installed in many classrooms, however many of the other classes are too basic. . The extracurricular is not that good. There’s a basketball court, a cricket ground, a badminton court and a table tennis room only for boys. . There are no social groups run by students in our uni. . No clubs, nothing.

Hostel Facilities

3

.The hostel facility is quite fine. .If you're non vegetarian you'll get non veg atleast 2-3 times a week .The fee is 2000 and you get 4 meals. . 2 teas, lunch and dinner. . If you stay at hostel for less than 7 days a week, you'll have to pay 130 per day only. The washrooms are clean and the water is warm in winters.

Admission

. I applied for JEE josaa counselling apart from this college, .I got admitted in the NIT srinagar however my branch was Mechanical which i was not intrested in . The admission process of this university was quite easy and similar to the rest of of the colleges . I Visited their website, applied for the course, got admitted there in both of the courses i had applied for i.e B. Arch and B.Tech CSE. But I chose CSE as it was what i was more inclined towards. . I had a good experience here overall with the studies however my mental health got disturbed a little bit

Faculty

3

Talking about the faculty in computer science department, mostly it is nice apart from a few. The syllabus is quite a lot an the timetable doesn't allow you to do anything other than studying what is in your curriculum.

Interview Experience

5

I didn't have to go through anything like that as such . You just have to submit the documents. Then visit the college Then join the college Payment is the only necessary thing in our college You pay, you get to study

Night Life

1

.There's a basic gym for hostellers and the faculty in pg, many cafeterias 3-4 ig a library which is open 24×7. . The university timings are 9-5 in summer and 10-4 in extreme winter. . As a girl you'll hardly get an hour over the university timing to stay out. . The hostel timings are 8-6 or even 5:30 sometimes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
