Remarks

College management isn't that good. They are reluctant to make any changes. They just want to hung to the old-school way of running colleges.

Entrance Preview

Kerala Engineering Agricultural Medical Entrance Examination 2012. I scored 683/960 and got admission to the best engineering college in the state. College of engineering Trivandrum offers the finest faculty, infrastructure and placements in Kerala.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Curriculum is old. The syllabus was set in 2008. Hence most of the topics aren't now relevant. Still it's a fairly good syllabus.

Internships Opportunities

I did an internship in Qburst. I was offered Rs.15000 for 42 days of internship. It was really nice to work with modern technologies. Companies like Amazon also comes to CET for internship. Three of my friends got placed for Amazon internship.

Placement Experience

5

Placements are better than all the other engineering colleges in Kerala. For my branch, computer Science and Engineering, placements are top notch. Over 10% of the students got a package of over 14 lakhs with top package being 20 lakhs, which was offered by Intuit. Other companies like Commvault(14.5lpa), Oracle(7.5lpa), McFadyen(7.5lpa) also came to the campus in the 3rd year itself.

College Events

4.5

Dhwani is the annual cultural festival of CET. It is known for its organisation and activities. It is a four-day-long event held every year and attracts a crowd of 40,000 students and young people from across the country, making it one of the largest such fests in Kerala. Dhwani events include speaking, dancing, thespian, quizzing and word games, professional shows (nicknamed proshows) and workshops on music, fashion, art, and dance.Drishti is the annual technical festival of CET. It is known for its organisation and activities. It is a three-day-long event held every year and attracts a crowd of 5,000 students and young people from across the country, making it one of the largest such fests in kerala.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very inexpensive. A semester costs around 400Rs which is very cheap when compared to other colleges in Kerala where Rs.30000 is the fee. Fee includes lab fees, fest fees and other educational and infrastructural fees.

Campus Life

5

Campus life was splendid. The gender ratios are fairly balanced. Workshops happen frequently. NSS and other cultural societies are active. There are no gender, ethnicity, race, religious bias among students. Politics is strong, and bias does occur.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college has men's hostel and ladies hostel located in very beautiful and healthy location. Both the hostels have very specious rooms which provide comfortable and conductive atmosphere. These hostels have separate establishments headed by ht Warden an

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from the 6th semester onwards. At the conclusion of the second year, the college evaluates all students, allowing only the diligent and deserving individuals to proceed, while others are dismissed. The college provides excellent placement prospects for high-performing students. A multitude of reputable companies actively recruit from our institution, making it a premier destination for career opportunities in Kerala. While assured placement is offered to students with minimal or no backlog papers, others are also placed, albeit with comparatively lower annual packages. Majority of the talented students are placed in Cognizant and TCS Ninja with an average annual package of 10 to 12 lakh. I actually plan to pursue higher studies after Btrch.
