Course Curriculum Overview

I choose the course because I had interest in Mechanical Engineering and I had already complete Diploma in Mechanical Engineering so I took admission in direct 2nd year of BTech course. Faculty: student ratio is 1:10 and qualification of the faculty is Phd and MTech. Exam level is easy to moderate and timely conducted.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There was paid internship provided by some companies and industrial training in some psu for 15-30 days. Provided training in CAD, CAM,CAE. Software are AutoCAD, Solidwork ,Catia,Ansys etc. outcome - 3D model of IC engine.

Placement Experience

From 7th semester of BTech students become eligible for campus placements. Companies visited in college campus are Tega industries, Tata motors, L&T, Bajaj Automobile, Mando automotive etc...No of offers around 60 students. Highest package is 5-6LPA and avarage package is 2.5-3LPA. 70% of students getting placement. My plans after getting the degree is higher studies or getting job in top company of India.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is Rs. 41000 at the time of admission and then each sem is Rs. 28000. West Bengal govt gave a scholarship i.e. called svmcm and anyone who have minimum 60% of marks in Diploma they can applied for the scholarship and can renew every year if they carried overall 60% marks in two semester.

Campus Life

Annual fest is Ellite's Pride and tech fest is ULTRON 22 TECH FEST conducted in August month. All engineering books and journals are available. Classrooms have good quality bench and board cctv cameras. Annual sports are cricket and football.

Admission

I took lateral admission in direct 2nd year i.e. 3rd sem of BTech course as I have already completed Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. I went to college for admission. I think admission process is good.

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

GOOD College at low fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

A Deep Dive into JGEC

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students become eligible for on campus placements. Few companies that visited are BEL which offered 12lpa , wtw which also offered 12lpa , TCS which offered 9 lpa highest, and many more . Highest package offered this year was 54lpa by Microsoft (off campus) . On campus highest was BEL which offered 12 lpa , the average package is around 8 lpa . My plan is to prepare myself for government exams and get a job by the end of my 4th year .

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester student become eligible for the campus placements. Amul(GCMF) , Mother Dairy, Vidya Dairy, Bhagirathi cooperative, Wamul, ITC are the company's visited and they provide good packages according to the students work in interview. After getting the degree I would pursue my hair studies in Mtech Food Technology from IIT or go to MBA course from IIM. My main goal is to get NDRI National Dairy Research Institute which is top institute for imparting dairy and veterinary courses for MTech Dairy Technology. 70 to 80% of the students are being placed and the packages very from 20 lakh per anum to 40 lakh per annum. After getting BTech degree most of the students preferred to go for higher studies and job. Research line is open for our course. Most girls prefer higher studies and research line and most boys prefer for job.
