Course Curriculum Overview

It was great,it gives great importance,yes in all fields of science,electives include Non destructive testing, Advanced fluid mechanics, nuclear Engineering etc

Internships Opportunities

The college helps us obtain internships at St gobain, Bosch etc. The average stipend amount is RS 35000 per month

Placement Experience

Almost 75-80% of students obtain on campus placements. The major companies visiting the campus include Bosch, Microsoft, Amazon,Hyundai,Benz etc. The average package starts around 5lkh per annum

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is 6500 RS. And it is so for all students who are able to afford it. For students belonging to poorer families they are given scholarships and relaxations in the fee.

Hostel Facilities

I'm not residing in college Hostel . It is , though,heard that has great facilities

Exam Structure

The exams are on a 1.5 month Gap based so it is not tiring. It has a chill culture

Faculty

The faculty consists of the most knowledgeable people I've ever met. The most helpful,they interact with students on a scale I've never viewed in other colleges. The standards of teaching is impeccable

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
