Let’s take the example of MBA admissions at IIMs (Indian Institutes of Management) since they have a structured selection process involving a Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI). Admission Process for MBA at IIMs 1. CAT Exam – The first step is clearing the Common Admission Test (CAT), which includes sections on Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR). 2. Shortlisting for GD-PI-WAT – Based on CAT scores, academic performance, work experience, and diversity factors, candidates are shortlisted. 3. Written Ability Test (WAT) – Candidates are given a topic to write a short essay within 20-30 minutes to evaluate their written communication and analytical thinking. 4. Group Discussion (GD) / Case Discussion (CD) – A topic is given to a group of candidates who discuss it for 10-15 minutes. The panel assesses communication, leadership, clarity of thought, and teamwork. (Some IIMs have replaced GD with WAT.) 5. Personal Interview (PI) – A face-to-face interview with faculty members or industry experts, where candidates are tested on academics, work experience, current affairs, and personality traits. --- Example Topics for GD/WAT: Abstract Topics: "Red vs. Blue," "Time is Money," "Disrupt or Be Disrupted" Current Affairs: "AI and the Future of Jobs," "India’s Economic Growth Post-Pandemic" Business & Economy: "Cryptocurrency: Boon or Bane?" "Is India Ready for a 4-day Work Week?" Social Issues: "Should the Death Penalty Be Abolished?" "Influence of Social Media on Mental Health" --- Interview Questions (PI): 1. Personal & Background Questions: Tell me about yourself. Why MBA? Why this IIM? Strengths and weaknesses? 2. Academics & Work Experience: Questions related to your undergraduate degree (e.g., Engineering: "Explain Ohm’s Law"). Work-related questions (if experienced), e.g., "How did you contribute to your organi

Campus placements are offered with many companies visiting (700-800+). Highest packages can go high (Rs 30-56 LPA), but averages and typical offers vary (~ Rs 6-7 LPA), and placements rates differ by batch. Some students also pursue internships or off-campus jobs if campus offers are limited.

Placement Experience:

Four campus placements student get eligible after the 6th semester and from 6th semester companies come and they search for their Perfect suit And they just simply Conduct their interviews in the College campus Various companies visited our college like HCL,TCS and many more Offering a basic scale payoff around 6,00,000 Per year. Average package for our college is around three to six lakhs and the highest package a student got is around 54 lakhs Per year. For sitting in placement at least 6 cgpa is required to Get eligible for Placements But most of the companies ask for 7CGPA and above and only few companies are there which demand 6 cgpa students. My planes after getting this degree is Doing a job and then Lumping amount So that I can open up my business in the form of cafe or something else. But somewhere I will like to become nlp engineer As I have interest in sound processing system and AI and being from IT background I have good coding skills and communication skills. Till the age of 40 I Start my own business or a startup. At last but not least Our college has a good placement Drive system And a good academic system too and one can easily prepare for placements if he studies well.

Placement Experience:

From 2nd year onwards we can prepare for it as we are equipped with hands on experience on multiple projects and practical knowledge. Till now the highest package has reached 45 lakhs per annum. I don't think that percentage matters as practical knowledge is more superior that theory part. I am planning to go for MNCs.

Placements are not good in my college. Only few companies are recruiting through on campus like virtusa, tcs etc. average package is 3-4 lakhs and maximum package is 9 lakhs. From 4th year students are eligible for on campus placement. Only 30-40% of students get placed. I am thinking to give gate exam for better opportunity.

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.

Remarks:

Don't join the college as they doesn't care about your career Faculty is bad and also doesn't have minimum experience and qualifications Teachers will change every semester or even teachers can leave the job in mid semester. If want a good career then don't go for it
