NIT Kurukshetra : What you should know

Fees and Financial Aid:

The total fee for 4 year B. Tech course in NIT is approx 7 to 8 Lakh or approx 1,11,500 for each semester. This fees include tution fee, hostel fee and other academic fees(excluding mess charges which are 35,000 per semester) For SC/ST/PwD/ income below 1 Lpa 100% fee waiver is there so the per semester fee will be around 16,000 for academic and hostel fee(excluding Mess fee which will have to pay 35,000). There are many types of scholarships are also given like PMS and state scholarship scheme and also have merit based scholarships are also given.

Tution fee per semester is around 77000 for General students having annual family income greater than 5 lacs, 35000 for income between 1-5 lacs and 15000 for income less than 1 lac and SC/ST students. This includes hostel room fee as well. However the mess fee is approximately 35000 per semester

Very good teachings, skills and personality developing course

The tution fees is 125000 in a year and besides this another 30 to 40 thousand rupee is charged for various purposes. But there is different category of students in such a way : Those their income is above 5 lakh gets no benifit in fees. Those their income is below 1 lakh get full tution fee wavier. Other pays one third of tution fee. There is no stipends provided for B.tech students but M.tech students get 12500/month as stipend if they maintain a given CGPA in their course.

Reality of nitkkr

This year placement is going very bad not even 50 percent of the students are able to get placement. The courses here are not updated to the current industry scenarios. And also the infrastructure is lacking.

Tution fee is very high if you compare to any other govt colleges. But you will found fee conseson on the bases of cast and family financial condition. Like if your family income below 5 lakhs you will have 2/3 tution fee conseson and I also fall in this category and the total fee I paid in my first year is around 150000 . Many scholarships are also available like nsp,reliance.

How is the campus life and education in NIT kurukshetra?

Fee structure:- 90-95 thousand per semester plus 30 thousand mess charges also. No Tution fee for SC ST students and general category students who have an income less than 1 lakh per annum. Various Scholarships are available such as single girl child have not to pay any fees.

No incerse in the tuition fees and it is already specified for all the 4 years of our curriculum . The complete cost of my education including the hostel and tuition fees is 95000 out of which 35000 of mess and 60000 for tution and it is per semester . NSP scholarship is available for the student. Campus provides various intership and placement opportunities through training and placement cell .

Total semester cost is 40000, in this process 6000 rupees hostel fees and 34000 is mess fees and college fees is 5000 Total course fees is 150000 There have separate placement cell which provide best placement in tech and core companies
