NIT Kurukshetra offers a wide variety of scholarships for its 1st or subsequent year (2nd, 3rd, or final year) undergraduate/postgraduate students on the basis of merits obtained by them in the last qualifying examination as per the guidelines of the institute and Government of India. Some of the popular and famous scholarship schemes at NIT Kurukshetra are mentioned below:

Merit Scholarship:

The institute offers 26 Merit Scholarships in each academic year (2nd, 3rd, and 4th year) in each discipline of the respective programs.
A student must have scored a minimum of 60% marks or more in the last qualifying semester/final semester.

Merit Cum Means Scholarship:

The Merit Cum Means Scholarship is offered to the students of any year of UG programs at NIT Kurukshetra.
In order to be eligible for Merit Cum Means Scholarship, a student should have an annual family income of less than INR 2,50,000 (excluding HRA).
Also, a candidate must have scored a minimum of 60% marks or more in one attempt in the qualifying examination.

National Scholarship:

The National Scholarship is offered to the students who have secured a minimum of 60% marks in their last qualifying examination and have an annual family income of less than INR 2,50,000 (excluding HRA).
As a Scholarship award, boarders of the institute are granted INR 300 per month and INR 120 for the day scholars.

National Scholarship for children of School Teachers:

The National Scholarship is especially for the Children of working teachers in any recognized primary/secondary schools.
The applicants must have passed their last qualifying examination with 60% marks or first division.
Also, the annual family income should not exceed INR 2,50,000.

Post matric Scheduled Caste/ Tribe Scholarship:

The Post Matric SC/ST Scholarship is offered to the students of SC/ST categories whose annual family income is less than INR 2,50,000.
Boarders are awarded a sum of INR 425 per month and INR 190 per month to day scholars.

Alumni Association Scholarship:

The Alumni Association Scholarship is offered to the B.Tech students of NIT Kurukshetra in the departments of Civil, Mechanical, Electronics and Computer Science Engineering.
5 scholarships worth INR 2400 per annum are offered to the financially weak students of the NIT Kurukshetra B.Tech program.
To avail, the facility of Alumni Association Scholarship, the parents/guardians of the applicant should submit the required documents and an affidavit mentioning their income from all the sources.

Fees and Financial Aid:

In our college, there is feeling waiver on the basis of yearly family income There's bracket one whose family income is less than 1 lakh, the bracket one got full tution fee wavier due to which there college fee got around 2 lakh for whole duration of course, while each sem every student has to pay around 34500 rupees for mess irrespective of the bracket There's bracket two for the ones whom family income is less than 5 lakhs but more than 1 lakh, these students' tution fee got 2/3 wavier, so they have to pay 43400, i belong from this bracket,and additional mess fees same as bracket one.I haven't taken any scholarship although there are too many scholarships are available like the students will get information about the scholarships from the offical whatsapp group of college itself, they don't have to hunt for it by self, The third bracket the ones whom family income is more than 5 lakhs, they don't have any fee wavier so there's fees is around 6 lakh with additional mess fees same as the first two brackets The sc st candidates get full tution fee wavier irrespective of family income Tution fees is around 60000 per semester while the other fees like hostel fee is 10000 for single seater, 7000 for double while 4000 for triple seater; per semester We have to pay 6000 for one time which is non refundable as a security, While the mess fees can be adjusted against the real bill of mess and electricity; There is separate scholarship for various groups for pwd candidates there is scholarship For core branches there is separate scholarship "op jindal engineering and management scholarship " and in the scholarships internally reserved for various caste groups There is Siemens scholarship which Is merit based.

The fees for the whole year including all the other charges is rupees 2.5-2.7 lakh for the students whose income certificate is greater than 8 lakh per year . Tution fees for the whole year is rupees 1.5 lakh.Scholarship will not be providedd to the students whose income is greator than rupees 5 lakh per year.Fees will not increase during the entire course.

The fee structure includes tution fees, student welfare fund, seat rent, etc., which totals 1,11,500 for the first semester. Thereafter, it varies by semester: ruppees 83000 for even semester and reupees 89000 for odd semesters exluding the mess charges which are about 34500 for each semester. The college provides a 2/3 tution fee wavier for students having family income less than rupees 5 lakhs per annum, and a full tution fee wavier for SC, ST, PwD, and students with a family income below ruppees 1 lakh per annum. The fee structure remains the same throughout the duration of course and does not change. One can find the detailed fee structure on the institute's website
