Ans. NIT Kurukshetra has a refund policy if the particular candidate wants to cancel their admission. The amount you get back depends on how many days you wait before withdrawing:
- Within 3 days: Only INR 1,000 will be deducted.
- 4 to 12 days: INR 3,000 will be deducted.
- 13 to 30 days: INR 7,500 will be deducted.
- After 30 days: Candidates will only get back the security deposit (Library & Institute fees).
For B.Tech. students, the refund rules might be different, so you should check the official NIT Kurukshetra website.
Ques. Can we get admission in NIT Kurukshetra through LEET in B.Tech?
Ans. NIT Kurukshetra does not offer admission through LEET. NIT Kurukshetra only takes students for B.Tech through JEE Mains and JoSAA/CSAB counseling. There is no lateral entry for diploma or B.Sc. students.

NIT Kurukshetra offers a full time MBA of 2 years duration. NIT Kurukshetra admission in MBA is based on CAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT score. A total of 53 seats are available in NIT Kurukshetra MBA, out of which 21 belong to the General category candidates. To be eligible for MBA at NIT Kurukshetra, a candidate should have passed Graduation in any stream with minimum 50% marks (for SC/ST candidates 45% are required). Candidates should have cleared CAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT Exam. Taking into account the marks scored in Graduation and the scores of CAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT, candidates are shortlisted for GD and PI. The institute prepares a merit list which contains the names of selected candidates based on the entrance exam score and performance in GD & PI. Weightage of 70 marks is assigned to the entrance exam score and 30 marks are for the performance in GD/PI.
It may not be possible for you to get direct admission to any of the course in NIT Kurukshetra. NIT Kurukshetra is a prominent institute in India and the number of applicants are much higher than the number of seats every year. This increases the competition. So NIT accepts entrance examination scores for admission.
