Likes

Lush green campus with a number of parks and gardens scattered all around the campus
Good teaching facilities and faculties who are available time to time to help you.
A mentor being assigned to every student each year to help them with their issues.

Dislikes

The mess food is not really upto the mark.
They keep seniors n juniors together in room which sometimes leads to tussle.
Classes are very far away and take time and energy.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because this is more focused towards machine learning and I'm interested in it. Experienced faculty for subjects where some teach well and others are average. The exam was moderate to difficult but overall manageable

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placement from the 7th sem and many renowned companies like Infosys, Wipro visit the campus. The highest package last year was 64Lpa and avg was 6.5Lpa and around 90% students got placed. I want to pursue higher education after degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee was increased by 17k per sem in 2023 and the overall fee is 192000 per semester. Top 1000 people in the KIITEE entrance exam are eligible for a scholarship amount of 10k per month provided they follow the terms and conditions mentioned.

Campus Life

KIIT FEST is conducted once in 4 years, it's a grand event where eminent musicians take part. There's a huge central library which encompasses several books. Classrooms are tidy and fully conditioned. Many clubs n societies like KRS, KSAC are run by students.

Hostel Facilities

A bed, a wardrobe, a study tuble, a mug, a bucket, 2 bed sheets, a pillow and a blanket will be provided to the hostel boarders. The meal is moderate in taste. Price ranges from 50k to 1L and my hostel is in campus 6 which is the main campus.

Hostel Fee: INR 120000 per year

Admission

I was admitted via the JEE Entrance exam. I had 89%ile so I was alloted CSSE (Computer Science and system engineering). It was done online via the KIIT Portal and then we had to pay 75000 to confirm seat.

A well rounded campus life with industry oriented growth in college

Placement Experience:

placement at cv raman global university are good especially for cse/it . student becomes eligible from the 7th semester and compinies like TCS, infosys, wipro,capgemini, cognizant and ibm visit regularly. the highest package is around 15 lpa and average package about 4 to 5 lpa . aroud 80 to 90 % of cse/it student get placed. while non core branch recive fewer core offer but still get it/services opportunities. after my degree, i pland to start my carrier to higher studies for making me as a proffersor.

My Campus Life

Placement Experience:

After your 7th semi you will be eligible for campus placements Several reputed companies such as infosys,Wipro etc have visited our campus around my graduation time. The highest package offered was 6 LPA by infosys for the role of Data analyst while the average package stood at around 2.5 LPA to 3.2LPA . Approximately 60% or 6.5 CGPA secured students will be eligible for placements through campus drives. After obtaining my degree, I plan to Pursue higher studies like Mtech in a IIT'S or Niit hence i prepared for Gate 2 yrs .But meanwhile i was preparing for to get a job to take the responsibility of family so i started my carrer a a software developer.

Inside scoop: life and learning at NIT ROURKELA

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is relevant enough to teach you all the basics you would require in engineering though some of the courses can be changed and in place of those new courses can be addded for example for non physics student teaching them quantum mechanincs and that too the old quantum mechanics doesent seem to make sense . The exams are not so frequent and the papers can be rated as moderate

KIIT has lost it's eminence and it's fame for quality education and good placement records

Placement Experience:

Placement record is not so good.. companies like Microsoft and Google have blacklisted KIIT due to poor performance and mismanagement by the KIIT in providing with the right candidates. KIIT shortlists students in basis of multiple tests taken on platforms like AMCAT and on that basics provides the profiles of best performing candidates to the companies invited for campus hirings regardless of the field and job specifications and requirements, so basically KIIT has a very below average performance Training and Placement Cell as they lack decision making and management skills to segregate candidates for hirings according to their skills and not by their general scores and CGPA. NOTE: Companies have shown least interest in KIIT for last 2 years and the poor performance of previous batches and mismanagement by KIIT authorities. KIIT promises 100% placements but that is actually far from reality.
