Remarks

College management did well to get the college to such a high level but it would be better if they focus on improving some crucial factors now. Overall a good college to have fun and get a degree in 4 years.

Entrance Preview

I gave both CET and Comedk. Got the final admission via CET. CET rank was around 23k and Comedk rank 11k. I opted for this particular college because it's in the top 5 college's in Bangalore and it's the top VTU affiliated college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is excellent with a balance of engineering and management subjects. Gives you the best of both worlds. The first 2 years focus on engineering and mechanical subjects while the final 2 years focus on industrial engineering and management subjects.

Internships Opportunities

No such internship while I was in college. The student must procure his own internship opportunities outside college if he/she is interested.

College Events

4.5

Every even SEM we had a cultural fest 'Manthan' which was the biggest event in college. Occasionally we also have some subject related seminars. Once in a while there was a movie promotion event where some sandalwood/bollywood celebrity used to come and promote their film.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very feasible but it's depends on your mode of entry. For CET students it's less than 2 Lakh for the entire 4 years while Comedk and management quota students had to shell out around 2L each year.( Total 8-10L). Hostel fees and other misc fees were extra .

Fees and Financial Aid

Don't have any idea about this but it is Available. Few people had a concession in sports quota as well.

Campus Life

3

Campus life was good, great crowd. Infact the best part of the college was the crowd as its a full mix of people from various backgrounds. Student parties were unofficial hosted and great fun. Gender ratio depends on the branch but overall you can say it's almost equal.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel was separate for boys and girls. Boys hostel was on campus and girls campus was in JP Nagar. Since the hostel was away from campus, girls had a bus facility from hostel to college. The rooms were good and spacious and decent facilities. But the mess was bad. Food quality wise was good but lacked any taste. They were better off eating outside.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are helpful and give good guidance. They even host freshers party n all. Alumni network is not managed properly and till now there hasn't been any official alumni meeting or get together.

Exam Structure

Exams were chilled out. There were 3 internals in one semester and they used to consider average of the best scores 2 for the final result. You had to get a minimum of 15 average in internals and 35 in externals for a total of 50. Lab internals also follow the same system and are very chilled out.

Admission

I got this particular college and branch via Comedk 2nd round. Later on I got the same seat again in CET vacancy round. So I got a refund of my Comedk fees and paid only CET fees. The office administration was not that great since they were overloaded with applications and transactions. The experience could have been better.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is highly average at best except for very few excellent teachers. Like 1 in 5 teachers may be good while others are average. Sometimes they struggle to speak fluent English and are unable to get their message across. Most of them would prefer to teach in Kannada.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
