About NIE

i chose CSE stream because that was what i was interested in and it did provide a good package, so it fulfilled my needs. The faculty to student ratio is 30:1, most of the faculty here have PHDs in their respective subjects and their teaching methods are quite good. We have our internal every two months and it is quite easy to pass that exam

The companies which come here for the internships are mostly the same who come here for the placements , like Mercedes JP Morgan Fidelity , Visa. The roles which are given are frontend and backend developers and full stack developers and sometimes they are hired after the internship is done.

From the fourth semester, the students are eligible for the campus placements JP Morgan Accenture TCS Infosys Deloit Scalar Visa Fidelity are some of the companies which visit our college for the campus placements The highest packages is 56Lakhs from the ISE branch of our college, and the median is 11L average is 12L almost 100% of the students get placed my plans after getting the degree is to work for a while and then pursue my masters

There is no fees hike policy, for KCET the fees is 90000 and for comedk it is around 2.2L, the total cost to study for the comedk students with their hostels included would come up to 16Lakhs and for KCET students, it would be around 8L with the hostels included We do have scholarships here but the eligibility criteria is quite hard to get though, so only a few very students get the scholarships here and it depends on what marks you've scored in other competitive exams

The life at the campus is pretty good, the campus is about 25acres and it is filled with greenery. The annual fest is conducted at every even semester, and the Tech fest is TECH NIE KS Almost all of the books which are required for studying the syllabus and even out of the syllabus is in the library and we even have the access to a online library made by the college The classes and labs are well equipped providing all the basic needs and facilities. The campus conducts inter college events of sports and even participates at the VTU events There are also social media accounts of NIE and the website which provides all the information

The rooms have a blackboard and a screen for the projector and they have good quality seats and tables and lights and fans. The food quality is good but there isnt much variety because they seem to repeat the food most of the times but it is sometimes good too. The registration process of the hostel was done quickly and the hostel fees for a year is 95000, which is quite affordable when compared to many other colleges.

To get the course needed in NIE, i had to take the COMEDK exam, that was the eligibility criteria, even through KCET you can get the same seat. The application form for comedk is available on their website and the forms are released few months before the exam, It has HK qouta for people from Karnataka, the admission went smoothly
