Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is good. The faculty follow a proper pattern that makes us to grab the concepts easier. College is following experiencial learning that is lab sessions will conducted as per the concepts thought in classes every week. As of now I am not feeling that difficult.

Internships Opportunities

5

Yes, the college provides internship opportunities from 6th sem. Comedkares is one innovative hub that college is linked with . You will get many other opportunities from companies like Deshik labs . You can also go for off campus for internship.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are decent or it could be said good also . As per given data from our college, this year, out of 125 ISE students around 108 got placed. The highest package was 43lc per annum. the least package was 3 to 4 lc per year. Few of them also opt for pursuing M.sc and M.Tech degree. The Placement percentage is good and the average package is around 10 lc per annum or more.

Fees and Financial Aid

there are three ways to get seat in this college. I got the sest through KCET. The other two ways are COMEDK and Management quota. Via KCET the fees is around 107000 per year(additional 10k was asked for building fee). for COMEDK its is amost 2.82 lacks and that of management is almost 17 lacks. If you get a seat on SNQ qouta in KCET then fees will be almost 30k per year.

Campus Life

4

I would say the campus life is not so good but ok ok. This is because the seperation of campus into 2. The students in north campus will get less opportunity to involve into the programs conducted in south campus. majorly all the events are done in south cause it is the oldest one and one in the centre of the city. You have many clubs here like awsap, onyx, IEEE, etc.. some times the club meetings are held in south and the students of north have to travel from north to south campus which almost 14 to 15 km apart from each other. So, I feel the campus life is good in south but not so good in north campus.

Admission

I got this college through KCET. My rank was 9k and I am pure general merit student, so I got this college in 2nd round. I personally prefered this college more at all which I could have got for my rank because of the experience of the college and main factor was the place where college is placed that is Mysore. Mysore is my personal fav cause it is calm and green. The other and main factor was the rank of the college in karnataka. it stands in top colleges in karnataka. adding to this I had one extra point to choose this college was alluminies of this college, one of alllumini of this college was Narayana Murthy (founder of Infosys).

Faculty

5

The faculty here I feel here is very good and they are fully experienced. The faculty is supporting and very interactive. The faculty i liked most was maths cause the teacher who teach us is extreamly good and I did not like was IC may be because of the subject that did not connect to me. coming to exams there is 2 internals known as CIE and one semister end exam (SEE) for one semister. As of now I feel we score good if we read. I dont feel it so difficult as of now.

Night Life

3

The north campus is almost out of the city so you find nothing near by but you will have canteens inside the college. but if you are in south campus then it is perfect cause you will be almost to the centre of the city and you can access everything in and around 1 to 2 km of your college. mainly speaking about north, there is almost nothing near by as it is in the industrial area of mysore. Hostel is good, it has gym, area to play cricket, batminton etc... . As per me, there one cafeteria near north campus. near both the campus ATM's are available.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
