Likes

I like the greenery in the vit campus and it is also well maintained.
There are different stores and food stall from where we can buy and eat stuff.
Teachers are good here and they are friendly.

Dislikes

I don' t like the quantity of vegetables i get. It is very less even for a kid.
Vit keeps you busy all the time. Too many projects , DA, assignments and tests.
They dont all allow 1st year students to go outside VIT campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose ECE because this was the best I was getting. The faculty and student ratio in VIT is pretty decent. The teachers are very good and well-educated. Some of the teachers are even from IITs. There will be a total of three exams CAT 1, CAT 2 AND FAT. CAT 1 and CAT 2 together make a mid-semester and FAT is like an end-semester exam.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 450000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of the study is pretty high in VIT. I don't know much about scholarships and campus jobs as I am myself a 1st-year student. For getting details on these topics you can contact the vit helpline number. They will explain everything in detail.

Campus Life

There are not many fests in Vit. I joined Vit this year only but still, there has been no fest till now. A few days back only we got to know that we will have a music festival in which we choose the singers. Pretty much all the essential books are available in the library and we can issue them also. There are many sports in Vit and you can get more details about it by joining their respective clubs.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel in the VIT chennai campus is well maintained and very clean. Rooms are cleaned everyday and if you face any problem you can directly complain about it to the guard or write the complain in the complain book Or in their site. Meal is VIT chennai is good but the only issue I think I face is that they give very less quantity of vegetables.

Hostel Fee: INR 110000 per year

Admission

For admission to Vit we have to take an exam named VITEEE. As per the rank in this exam, we will get placed in different branches in VIT. Eligibility criteria are that you must have more than 60% marks in all subjects in board exams. No Reservations are present in Vit, but there is another type of reservation which is a money reservation. You can get the Cse Core branch even if you 22000 rank if you spend a lot of money and get selected in category 5.

Placement Experience:

Placements starts from the 7th semester.companies Like tcs,wipro,zoho,infosys vist. The highest packages is 24lap,average 3lpa and around 85%of student get placed. I plan to start my career in IT and gain experience.

Placement Experience:

There are companies but the companies that were told that the good ones, they didn't come so much.. only a few companies that gave a package above 5 lakhs came in for my department.. the rest of them were either 4 lakh package or below it was not very good. even the 1 or 2 good companies that came tehy came for electrical.

Why SRM is better than other collages.

Placement Experience:

So from 6-7th semester they offers placements before that we have placement training in campus.So highest package for 2024 was 45 to 50 lpa,good offer given by amazon and other company also.So the average package is 7.5 lpa and highest package was 50 lpa.so 925 application are accepted in last 2 monts .My plans to get job and then after 2 years may be for higher study or startups.

The curriculum of each course is different and it is followed by the guidance of Anna university, we have several topics and it is under the regulation of 2021 respectively, I feel this easier to learn and there comes an opportunity to do what we learn in theory hour in our laboratory hour it will make more connected to our course, but there is lagging factor that is we are far away from the modern world and we need to put effort to compete with. The exams are not difficult and the frequency of the exam is quite manageable.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 3rd year for placements and also who don't have standing arrears ,if they have standing arrears the clg management will remove them from placements and also the Placements are very poor . The average package is 350000/year . And the maximum package is 15L Last year nearly 100 students out of 180 in cse dept are non-placed , they are forced to write higher studies letter and submit in college . Even though they won't help for any placement side.

Life of an MBA at VIT

All of us know VIT for its flagship program which is B. Tech but its MBA program is too good as well. I gave the CAT exam and secured 85 percentile which helped me in taking admission at VIT.
