Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum of each course is different and it is followed by the guidance of Anna university, we have several topics and it is under the regulation of 2021 respectively, I feel this easier to learn and there comes an opportunity to do what we learn in theory hour in our laboratory hour it will make more connected to our course, but there is lagging factor that is we are far away from the modern world and we need to put effort to compete with. The exams are not difficult and the frequency of the exam is quite manageable.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internships are only provided for the core courses like EEE,ECE,BIO MEDICAL, BIO TECH, FOOD TECH respectively and not all the internships are good but all are useful and good to spend time with, we have project per semester and we publish that project and getting patent and journal ready at the end of our course we will be having 8 patent and 8 journals that's a great way of engineering.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of Sri Shakthi Institute of engineering and technology is same compared to all other engineering college and I paid 1,10,000 as a joining fee in is separated as course fee(95,000) and bookd and uniform fee(15,000) and apart from that we paid 300 rupees as admission fee, I chose travelling through government bus to the college but the bus fee to my bus point is twenty seven thousand for 40 km and I am a government quota student who joined counselling conducted by TN government and my batchmates who joined through management quota are charged 2 lakhs as donation with the fee enclosure that I paid totally 3 lakh 10 thousand. There are some financial aids that can be validated but not used by the students. The fees structure is same for the upcoming years but the ones who joined thought management quota may pay extra fees asked by the institution.

Campus Life

2

On my side, I don't involve in any of the clubs so my campus life is boring but the information from the one's who are in the club are good to here, the infrastructure of the college will never attract you, but there are multiple sports events and work shops are conducted by the management, there are multiple social groups, clubs and student portals are well progressive and it is a good impact among students

Admission

To be Frank, my cousin who is an alumini of this college who suggested me that this college is a good one for engineering, and I believed it blindly but lately regretted for that decision, the quality of the education is quite low and the holidays are rare in this college, but it is better compared other engineering college in it's tier. And maniku this College has two intake methods government and management quota most of the ratio is from government quota and the fees vary between these two categories.

Faculty

3

To say that, all the faculties are friendly and good to talk but on other hand they lag on the technical way, most of the staffs are less experienced and don't have enough skill and some don't have interest to teach, but many teachers are gem who put their whole effort to help students shine, My favourite faculty is Usha ma'am from maths department she is such a sweet heart who will make us learn in the class itself we are well behaved in her hour. There are no one I don't like but there are some miscommunication happens. There are three internal exams between each semester and there are two semesters for each year and being an engineering student we have 8 semesters for of 4 years. The curriculum of the course is perfect match and super relevant to our course. The exams are easy if we learn and tough if we don't .

Night Life

3

The night life is good to boys and bad to girls because no one should get out of the hostel after 8.30, and it is good also but girls are not allowed out of the college as much as boys are, There is a gym facility and cafeteria, library with all books regarding all the departments public area plays main role. The locality of the college is bad and worst even in the day time it is hard to reach the main roads as a girl and there is no accommodation facilities outside the college.
