Our college has an IT Park and it is one of the best and probably the only college with such facility.
Our professors are prodigies of MIT so one can imagine the kind of tech knowledge they must be having.
Our college students have even designed robots and F1 car.

Dislikes

Innovation centre is the only missing puzzle from an otherwise excellent college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our course not just teaches us developing, programming languages or the coding but Data Science and AI as well. Editing and creating softwares as well. So, our course gives us a complete insight on how computers science engineering should be.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 450000 per year

Placement Experience

Our placements are as good as any college or university in India. Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, Deloitte, and any company which is into software comes at our campus for placements. Average stands at 8 lakhs but students of our campus has grabbed packages of 50 LPA as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

SRMIST is a premiere Engineering college in Chennai and commands a premium fees too. The yearly fees for CSE here is 4.5 lakhs a year. The hostel fees in which I stay is 3 sharing Non/AC and fees for the same is 1.18 lakhs a year.

Campus Life

SRM Kattankalathur is the campus where SRMIST is and it's a 250 acres long campus. It's as beautiful as it can be and has some of the top facilities. IT Park, Incubation Centres and Grid as well. We also have Cricket and Football Pitch and have any damn sports facility possible. Clubs and societies are plenty and last but not the least our events and fest are grander than any engineering colleges in India.

Hostel Facilities

There are many types of rooms and I stay in the most budgeted room that our campus has. It's a 3 seater non AC and non attached washroom room. Mess is common though and overall hostel facilities like wi-fi, TV room and games room are top level.

Hostel Fee: INR 118000 per year

Admission

I have JEE and SRM University entrance test as only two option I have myself. Old IITs or the SRM University. Since I couldn't have the required marks in JEE, SRM entrance paved way for me to the university and I took admission here.

Faculty

Faculties from IIT Madras or MIT are the ones who teaches us. So one can imagine the kind of quality and knowledge they bring to the table. One favourite would be Neetu Sreveni mam as she is the most dynamic of all.

Night Life

Our campus has 4-5 cafeterias and then we have the option to roam inside the campus for as long as we want. Even at night one can see hundreds of students on walk or on sports arena, so hostel students like us hardly go and and explore Chennai City.

Why SRM is better than other collages.

Placement Experience:

So from 6-7th semester they offers placements before that we have placement training in campus.So highest package for 2024 was 45 to 50 lpa,good offer given by amazon and other company also.So the average package is 7.5 lpa and highest package was 50 lpa.so 925 application are accepted in last 2 monts .My plans to get job and then after 2 years may be for higher study or startups.

Chose SRM University mainly because of its strong reputation in engineering, excellent infray,and placement opportunities.I has applied to a few other private universities like VIT Vellore and Manipal University.while I did get a confirmed admission from one,i felt SRM had a more vibrant campus life,better connectivity to Chennai City, and a strong alumni network. Person with expectations, College full of regrets

I choose this college because it had a great placement record than any other tier 3 college in the NCR region. The Student Life at SRM IST

I am a dropper, I got 75k something rank but that year cutoff for the colleges in Delhi skyrocketed for general category like nothing before. So I didn't get any college in Delhi, took a drop and applied then here at this college and Amity University Noida. I cleared both bht I preferred this college over Amity University because of many reasons - fees, cultural activities, student crowd, placement.
