I applied for very less college.since my cut off was low the possibility of me getting any Anna university affiliated colleges were less. So i wrote entrance exam for Amrita University and Vit. I did get Amrita but felt Vit had better exposure. They were lot of reasons as to why I chose this college. Of most the colleges I searched this had mechanical with specialisation courses. Doing a minor in something will make me a step ahead of every other mechanical engineer. I also compared the curriculum with many institutions,this was far by the best with perfect exposure. They have variety of other non graded courses to help me focus on my hobbies and interest. Their tie ups with many foreign institutions and industries will be an advantage for me if I use it in the right way. Again the only way of getting into Vit is through their entrance exam VITEEE. Since my cut off was low I had to rely on these entrance exams. I applied to Amrita, NIT TRICHY,SRM. I got confirmed admission in all of them with NITT alone not getting desired branch. I got core branches in NITT, so I didn't go there. The admission process of the college is to take their yearly entrance examination VITEEE. As I got 6620 rank I got seat in first phase of counselling itself.That's why I chose VIT.
