Course Curriculum Overview
I have interest in both computer engineering and electronics so I opted for Electronics and Computer Engineering. The curriculum of this course includes all the core subjects of Computer science and electronics. The curriculum of the subjects is well updated and relevant to what industries need. Some courses are not relevant but taught for aptitude. There are two Continuous Assessments Tests (CATs) and one Final Assessment Test (FATs) every semester. The papers difficulty level is moderate to hard.
Internships Opportunities
There are many companies that came for recruiting students for internships like Marvell, Texas Instrument, Samsung, MotorQ, Qualcomm etc for the roles like Software Developer, Hardware engineer, RTL Intern etc. Mostly companies give stipend around 45000-55000 per month to students. Their selection process is of three rounds, first round is based on resume then coding round and then one technical Interview.
Placement Experience
The placement of the college are far better than other private colleges. The eligibility for students for campus placements is that the cgpa must be above 6 and no backlogs. The companies like Microsoft, Texas Instrument, Samsung, MotorQ, Qualcomm, Marvell, Deeshaw, TCS etc came for recruiting students. The highest package for the last year was 1 crore per annum and the average package was 12 lakhs per annum. Almost all the students get placed in some companies. After graduation I also want to go in some super dream company with good package.

Admission
I applied to many other colleges like SRM Ktr, COEP Pune etc, I also got confirmed seats there also but I choose Vit because of its placements and overall growth of the college. I got rejection from some colleges also because I was not able to clear the cutoff for that course. For taking admission in VIT students have to give one exam VITEEE and based on the ranks of this exam the students get admission. The level of the exam is much easier than JEE Mains. The cut-off for Computer Science category 1 was under 500 and th cutoff for Electronics and Computer Engineering was around 18000 for category 1 and 30000 for category 2. After getting the ranks students have to appear in the councelling process which occurs online.
Faculty
The faculties in VIT are well qualified (mostly all are phd holders). Faculties are always ready for discussions during or after the classes. Many students works under professors for Research papers , projects etc. Faculties teaching style is also good with practical examples. The faculty -to-student ratio is around 1:15 in VIT. Dr Neeraj style of teaching is very much practical with real world examples. There are two Continuous Assessments tests and final assessment test in VIT every semester. The weightage for CATs is 15 marks each , the 30 marks are for internal that are evaluated by assignments and weightage of Fat is 40 marks. The passing marks is 50 overall out of 100 for every course. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate to hard. The curriculum of the courses is relevant to what industries want and updated also.
