Course Curriculum Overview
The course ciriculm is one of the best aspect of VIT. Every year they modify it according to industry standards. They don't have courses which are entirely not related to the group taken. For instance CSE doesn't have Engineering Graphics as a paper like every other college
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fees is based on the category which the student got. Category depends on the rank of student in VITEEE and the demand of course. Totally there are 5 Categories, with least being 1 and higest being 5. I got Category 1 which has a fees of 200000 per annum, my rank being 6620. There are no management seats.
Campus Life
We have TechnoVIT which is our annual technological fest housing people for a large number of countries. It's held around September. We also have a cultural fest Vibrance which is held around first week of March. There are more than 128 clubs and one or other events happen in the college daily. Every classroom is attached with an Interactive IV board. Our college has grounds and is most famous for football But sometimes college can be exhausting.
Admission
I applied to Amrita, NIT TRICHY,SRM. I got confirmed admission in all of them with NITT alone not getting desired branch. I got core branches in NITT, so I didn't go there. The admission process of the college is to take their yearly entrance examination VITEEE. As I got 6620 rank I got seat in first phase of counselling itself.That's why I chose VIT. VIT is one of the most respected private institute in India. It has great research facilities. The admission process is smooth and VIT only accepts their entrance examination
Faculty
The faculty members here are well educated. Mostly everyone here has a PhD which makes them well versed in their respective field. Due to a variety of population they converse in English. Also research can be done under faculty easily which makes the student an all rounder.
Night Life
Gyms close around 8PM, there's isn't much night life. Library is open until 12AM and students have cafeteria and night mess inside the hostel itself. Campus in time is 6PM which isn't valid when you take a leave and not an outing request Hostel intime for boys is 9PM and for girls it's 8PM Clock Tower, Gazebo, North Squre, Amphitheatre are famous hangout spots.
