Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose this course because Artificial intelligence is the future right now and most of the things depends on AI nowadays and looking at the job market an AI ML engineer can secure a good package right now. The Faculty provided to us is qualified in their respective fields and are very good in terms of teaching but the ratio is very less right now due to the management unable to handle the faculties and also having the campus so far from the cities. The teaching methods are good and the teachers provide us with good guidance and counsel. Term exams happen in every 1.5 Months and Internals happen every 2 weeks. An odd semester has 2 Terms and an Even semester has 3 Terms.

Internships Opportunities

4

Futurenese Technologies is the company associated with our course and in the future they are gonna provide us with internships in our 4th Semester. I cannot state the roles right now as I don't have such information. PCL is one of the things Jain has to make projects and everyone has to make something and complete it within their four years of academic span. This also helps in building your resume for jobs.

Placement Experience

3

From 7th Semester the students become eligible for placements and are allowed to sit in the placements. Currently Byjus, TCS, Tech Mahindra etc. . I don't know about the others but above are the top companies which visited last year. The highest package is around 56 LPA and the average package here is around 6-7 LPA. They are claiming For us to be 100? but may be around 70-80% . I am planing to get a good job and continue to work.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is very expensive and it is increasing every year. This year the 1st years had to pay around 5 L for the same course we are studying. You can get scholarship by giving their JET (Jain Entrance Test) and also they consider JEE marks for scholarship. I am still in 2nd year so I don't know about the stipend I am gonna get .

Campus Life

4.5

Infinity is the annual fest which happens here at Jain FET. It happens every year during the month of April or May and it's one of the biggest fest hosted by the college. There are many tech fest which happens in Jain but they don't have a particular duration or time of happening it generally happens every 2 months. Enigma is one of the biggest tech fest hosted by the college. The library has all the books and journals and every student of jain can access them. Our classroom has 2 Centralised Air Conditioners and Charging ports at every Bench for our gadgets. It also has Projector and Whiteboard for professors to teach. There are many social groups in our college such as The fossi club. One of the biggest group of the college is the cultural club it also has its sub clubs such has Music Club, orators club, literature club etc. The college takes sports seriously and provides with good events on a regular basis.

Hostel Facilities

4

The Hostel provides you with a option of opting a 2 Sharing room or a 3 Sharing Room. I live in a 3 Sharing which has a Cupboard, Bed with a sheet and pillow, Bed Table and an attached bathroom with a western seat. They also provide with High Speed Wifi service in the room. The meal quality of Good compared to other hostels. The menu here changes according to the day so we don't have track of that. They provide with a 4 day meal (Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks, Dinner). The hostel process is also simple you have to contact the hostel coordinator and he will share with you a form you have to fill that and then they will ask for a 50,000 advance as an booking amount. after that you have to pay the remaining before you report to the hostel. The cost of 2 sharing is 2,00,000 and 3 Sharing is 1,60,000. The PGs here are not good and can be considered not that safe.

Admission

Have to fill an application form at the college website and select the course interested in. Then, the college itself contacts you and explains you the admission procedure. I secured 86 Percentile in JEE. Because of my good percentile they approved my application and gave me the seat.

The placement cell is very active in our college. Every year more than 30+ companies come to our college for recruitment . Our seniors from 7th semester get placed in many companies and before getting placed in the company our college offers internships to every student. Around 80 % of the students get placed in companies and work efficiently. The average package for civil engineering is 2.5 lakh per annum.

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%
