My experience at RCOEM

I chose this course as there is high demand in the IT Industry. Faculty-student ratio is 1:30 i.e., for every 30 students 1 faculty is assigned. Many faculties are PhD holders and the majority of faculties have published research papers. Faculties are highly qualified. There are a total of 8 semesters and each 2 semester exams are conducted once a year.

Various companies offer Internships such as Nutanix offers an SRE intern with 50k per month, vConstruct offers 20-25k, Amadeus Labs offer a 30k per month stipend, and Cloud4c gives 30k per month. As this is a recession year many companies are not hiring, but after the end of the recession, there will be far better opportunities for the upcoming batches.

Students can opt for off-campus internships at any time in the college. After 6th semester students are eligible to sit for Campus Placements. Currently, about 30-40 companies visit and 33% of students are placed all around college. The highest package is 24 LPA offered by Nutanix for the SRE role. The average package offered is about 4-6 LPA for the Association Software Engineer role. In our department, almost 57% of students got the placement. My goal after my degree is to continue with the offer which I will receive in placement.

The fee for our batch is 149400 per year. But for the current batch i.e., 2027 pass outs it's almost 180500. As it is private and one of the most reputed colleges it has high fees. The college provides an Rs. 10,000 scholarship every year to the top 3 students of each department in academics. It also provides scholarship courses to under privileged students. Currently, I got an offer from IBM with CTC 4.5 LPA and a 25000 joining bonus.

The college has a chill campus life. Various annual fest are conducted but clubs and the Student Representative Council also each department conduct there own fest. Library has a high availability of books and journals, students can get any book they want. Classrooms are well equipped but still, there are many classrooms that lack infrastructure. Every year Branch Cup is conducted which runs for months and various competitions and activities are conducted. Premier League is conducted by the students of every department. There are various social groups run by students such as NSS, SRC, Technical Club, and Sports Club, Departments also have their own clubs.

Talking about the admission process students are selected on the score of their MHT-CET and JEE Mains. I found the application form on the MHT-CET website. The college offers reservations only to the Linguistic Minority Candidates of Maharashtra. Improvement that should be made in the admission process must be to little bit fast the process as the current process works a bit slowly.
