Likes

Personally, I love campus life here at MIT.
Gyms and party-clubs are very huge in number.
Variety of bird species and wildlife (since I love wildlife).

Dislikes

A bad weather with heavy & sudden rainfall and also sunny daytime.
Cost of studying is too high for circuital branches.
Extra fee to be paid for all non-academic events and clubs.

I chose E&I just because I don't have any other option. Faculty: The student ratio is pretty good as I observed there are a lot of professors in a single department. Almost every one of the faculty is qualified with a Ph.D. Teaching methods are quite average. Term exams are conducted twice an academic year and those are very hard to achieve.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no fee hike policy so far I observed. And the cost to study is DAMN high. It's costlier than most of the private engineering colleges in India. There are scholarships other than the merit-based aid given by the institution and there's no official proofs that the institution had given scholarships to all the 8+ CGPA students. I don't think there are part-time jobs in the campus.

Campus Life

Campus life is the best in this college. The annual fest here is called REVELS and the tech fest here is called TECH-TATVA. REVELS is conducted every March and TECH-TATVA every October. Classrooms are digital and air-conditioned with good ventilation. Journals are my favorite part of the library and books are good too. Extra-curriculars like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, swimming, basketball, athletics etc. are being appreciated. Clubs like PDA, IEEE, IECSE, etc. are under students control.

Admission

I think the admission process was pretty good. I found the application form, fee, and dates on the official website of MIT i.e., https://manipal.edu . I am currently studying E&I. Eligibility for this course is through an entrance exam called Manipal Entrance Test (MET). Based on the rank, groups are categorized. As it is a private college, there are no reservation benefits.

AN ABSOLUTELY PAISA VASOOL COLLEGE TO BE IN.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum seems to be a little outdated as we were following the VTU syllabus. But since 2024, our college has become an Autonomous College and since then, most of the outdated syllabuses were replaced with newer, required contents. And we have exams regularly, every month. This helps us alot in preparing for our final exams.

Teaching methods should be change. They should teach from the scratch in every subject. So that students can eadily able to understand the concepts and implementation in real world. The topics they cover in class is not very detailed and facing difficulty by students for understanding.

Again as it's a new campus a very small batch of students have made it to the final year as of now. It seems that the first batch of students have the highest package of 50lakhs from nvidia, and the cse department is having an average of 14L per annum

Open Spaces giving birth to Creative Minds

MIT Manipal owns engineering!

Admission here are very consistent and just two methods. No other method works here as MIT Manipal has very clear plans. Either you can qualify through Manipal Entrance Test or JEE scores but 90 percentile is required. MIT Manipal is awesome!

For B.Tech courses, Manipal Entrance Test is conducted by the college and students on the score and ranking are alloted branch. CSE and AI are taken by top rankers and then mid rankers can take our branch. However, first choice is always with the students. MIT Manipal is super tech savvy!

In MAHE or MIT Manipal the university only accepts their own entrance scored as JEE qualifications and all have very limited seats.
