Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the CSE course because in the current era, it is one of the most valued and currently has a high reputation in the market. The course of CSE follows the curriculum from VTU. The course is not that tough as compared to other institutes. NMIT being an autonomous college the faculty and curriculum are very good, and the faculty members are very friendly and are ready to help you any time. Many of the professors have a PhD degrees in their respective fields. The term exams are in a gap of 2 months there are a total of 3 men and 1 Semester end exam.
Internships Opportunities
I don't have any idea about the topic as I am a first-year student in this college, but I have heard that you can get an internship in the third year. The college has partnered with Infosys so probably there's a high chance that they will pick you up for the internship.
Placement Experience
The placement of the college is decent. The average package was 6.6LPA last year and almost everyone was placed. The student becomes eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester and a lot of companies have made offers such as amazon, Deloitte, and Infosys. tcs, Wipro, and many more. Many of the students in the field go for campus placement and go for jobs in mnc that's the same thing for mine.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of the college is not that much flexible as you have to pay the total fees before the first mid-term exam. The total fees of the college for a year are 250000 and the hostel fees are 135000 which totals up to Rs-385000. The college gives scholarships in the 3rd and 4th year and sometimes you can get the scholarship through the government.
Campus Life
The college life is overall well and good. The college's annual fest is named Andante which is one of the best fest that occurs on campus. The library of the college is well filled with almost all the books that you will require in your 4-year course. There are projectors in every classroom.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is good as you get 2 shared rooms in the first year later on in the next year you can change it to 3 sharing or you can keep it as 2. The meal of college is good and not like as you hear from people that the college mess are not that good. The hostel has a lot of capacity as most of the students live in the hostel.
Admission
The admission for the college was not at all that tough you have to basically take the COMED-K exam which makes you eligible to fill out the counselling process for most of the colleges of Karnataka such as Nitta Meenakshi, RV, BMSIT, etc. The COMED-K application has to be filled out within the given date limit, the eligibility criteria are candidate should pass his/her class 12th with PCM courses as the main subjects and pass with an aggregate score of 45% within the same if they are of general category If they belong to any reservation they are eligible if the score more than 40% aggregate score. You can find the comedk application on their official website the fee for the form was RS-1800. There are a lot of reservation benefits if you apply through with any as sometimes Karnataka pays you 30k for your study. Overall the admission process is well and good and needs no changes.
