Course Curriculum Overview
I always have had a keen interest in history and the University of Delhi offers some of the most decorated and prominent faculties for the same in the whole country. In my batch, there are a total of around 70 students and they are divided equally in sections. So talking about student ratio there are 3 professors for each section of each subject so we can say 1:30 is the teacher's student ratio, moving to curriculum, in history hons. There are a total 3 core papers plus one generic elective that you can change every semester others include SEC VAC AEC courses which are a great way to improve your CGPA, as stated before all the faculty members are distinguished and well qualified most of them have a PhD and those who don't are pursuing one. Overall the college and the faculty are good and worthy of having a remarkable reputation
Fees and Financial Aid
The total 1-year fee of my course is around 12000and it is quite reasonable like the education that you are getting Is worth more than that however the living cost in Delhi is something to worry about to find a suitable PG is one big hard challenge but everything works out in the end, the average living cost including the Rent is around ?1300p per month but if you can manage to fund a good flat it will cost much less.
Campus Life
My college is in the north campus, it is an academic and cultural Hotspot, campus life here is amazing, when fest season arrives it becomes even more lively here, you get to make new friends, you come across new cultures, and the main catch in a du college celebrity shows. Taking about classroom amenities some are maintained well while others are not around 40% of classrooms has ACs so you can guess the rest, societies in my college are very impressive and if you can take proper advantage of that you are sure to grow personality-wise as well as knowledge wise.
