Course Curriculum Overview
Being a huge bio freak, taking up a stream completely and absolutely new to me in every way seemed to and continues to be a daunting choice. However since the bio path didn't work out smoothly, CSE seemed to be a safer fallback option. The student-faculty ratio of our class is 70:1. Faculty members are well qualified, most with a PhD. The teaching method is good, the only issue I personally face is that in the first year, I was unaware of what materials to refer to. They do provide question banks but these are provided 2-3 days before the commencement of exams which makes covering everything quite the challenge! Feedback is taken regularly and steps are being taken to improve the situation but as is the case everywhere, change takes time! I haven't experienced term exams as of yet, but passing internal exams seems not to be much of a hassle.
Internships Opportunities
As a first year, I am unaware of the internship opportunities available but am definitely looking forward to further knowledge about them. A good suggestion would be that the college conduct seminars to help provide students with easy access to this information.
Placement Experience
At present, I am unaware of the placement or package scenario. After this degree, I plan on pursuing higher studies after a few years of working experience. As per inputs from seniors, students from cse and use appear to have the highest placement opportunities.
Fees and Financial Aid
Approx fee is as follows: Comedk -2 lakh per year, Kcet- 1 lakh per year, Management- 5 lakh per year. I'm currently unaware of the scholarships, I have no scholarships, campus jobs, or internships as this is still my second month here.
Campus Life
Anadyanta is the name of the annual fest conducted around March every year. The library has plenty of books and journals. Despite the guides pasted at each section, locating books of your choice is quite a hassle. A mini academic treasure hunt. Each classroom(in the first year) is equipped with a blackboard and a projector. At present, I'm unaware of any co-curricular activities or active clubs.
Admission
I got admission through comedk exam. All necessary documents are briefed about prior to the admission process. The staffs are very friendly. The general trend is that KCET students join later in the year as the counseling for the same usually takes longer.
