NMIT Review

I have chosen this course due to my interest and its scope. The student-faculty ratio is 30:1. And each student is given a mentor. The faculty and teachers are pretty decent and one can pass the exams pretty smoothly with regular preparation.

Amazon gave internships last year. Mostly it would be off-campus but still, there will be a few companies that will come. They will give practical experience and will make one industry-ready and self-reliant.

Placements are pretty decent and the average package is around 5 lpa. For CSE, it is, around 7 lpa. Companies like Amazon, Adobe, and Nutanix come to the college. Almost 99 per cent of the students get placed. I plan to either go to higher studies or else get placed.

The fee structure is about 5.9 lakhs of college fees for Management Quora students and 1.15 lakhs of hostel fees. There is no scholarship provided by the college. But, through KCET one can get a seat at a lower fee which is subsidised by the Karnataka govt.

The annual fest of the college is Anaadyanta which is organised around March-April. There are plenty of books available in library for the academic purposes and journals are also available. Classes have a projector and are a bit small after the increase in strength this year. Plenty of clubs are available to join based on your interests and improve your social skills.

Hostels are for 1.15 lakh and being Bangalore it's pretty decent when it comes to affordability. The food is pretty good, even though the menu is pretty repetitive still the food is good. Hostels have one spacious cupboard and one study desk for each.

To join this course, one must have passed class 10+2, from any recognised board. The application and admission process are available on the official website. I have joined through management quota. And there is no reservation quota in the management quota. However, there is a reservation through KCET and Karnataka locals through COMEDK.
